FFXIV Immerse Gamepack Gets Version 2.2 Update, Free Trial Renewed

During the Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer Live LXXXI, FFXIV Global Community Producer Toshio “Foxclon” Murouchi and Director and Producer Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida announced the release of the Immerse Gamepack Version 2.2 update. In addition, the 30-day free trial have been renewed for all players.

Version 2.2 of the FFXIV Immerse Gamepack offers a significant quality upgrade to HRTF (Head-related transfer function,) offering an improvement in clarity and fidelity, especially in higher frequency sounds. Other changes include smoother directional sound transitions, as well as new device management options. As a reminder, the Final Fantasy XIV Immerse Gamepack is only available for Windows PC users.

Players that previously used the 30-day free trial for the FFXIV Immerse Gamepack can now use it again with the release of the new Version 2.2. Foxclon also explained that Embolden updated the Immerse Gamepack setup and method to take pictures of your ears to be more accommodating for players.

Furthermore, the Immerse Gamepack Final Fantasy XIV Edition costs $19.99 and is available as a one-time payment of $19.99 from the Embolden official website. The FFXIV Immerse Gamepack sound upgrade initially lasted 14 days, but Embolden extended it to a 30-day free trial and was also renewed for all players in early September 2023.

Final Fantasy XIV is readily available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Dawntrail expansion debuts on July 2, 2024.
