Pascal, the red sea otter, has made his appearance in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and he’s bringing the mermaid furniture set back with him.
Pascal will appear when you dive into the ocean and find a Scallop. He’ll pop up, hungry for your fresh catch and offer you a reward and some wisdom in exchange for it. You may get a mermaid furniture DIY recipe, mermaid-themed clothes, or a Pearl.
The mermaid furniture set DIY recipes require shells in order to craft, so definitely start storing what you find on the beach for future crafting use. After all, finding a specific shell you need for a recipe can be a bit of a pain.
You’ll also need Pearls in order to craft the mermaid furniture, which are rare items you can find in the ocean similarly to sea creatures.
Some reports have noted that Pascal appears randomly when you pick up Scallops, and he can show up multiple times a day. We’re working on confirming this.
Below you can see a list of recipes you can get from Pascal, along with the materials you’ll need to craft the DIYs. We’ll be filling in the list as we find more information.
