Does the job- My husband and I have twins and we were able to take this to the beach and all sit on it with plenty of space. It worked really well and am most likely going to purchase another to have as backup .

I bought this mat to use for our family as we watched the 2024 solar eclipse. Since we were flying out to Texas, I wanted something lightweight and waterproof, but that lacked super flat. This fit the bill so we ordered!

Overall pros: it is pretty cute with the pineapple print. My preschooler loved it, and it was cute without being tacky like many other fold up blankets. It also did lack super flat, maybe an inch thick when compressed in our luggage. It was also easy to pack up, as the folding was intuitive and the Velcro strong and easy to connect.

On the cons, it fits maybe a family of four if you want to get pretty cozy. It’s not a great large group blanket. It is also as comfortable as a thing waterproof sheet; don’t expect this to be like a blanket but more like a padded tarp. That said, I mostly wanted a cute tarp experience so this delivered. We’ll be replacing our other, less foldable and bulkier blankets with this go-to from now on!

I have mixed feelings about this item. It is waterproof. But the material is scratchy, even just sitting on it is uncomfortable. The lightest breeze was causing it to move and flap in the wind. It just wasn't practical for outdoor use.
