The Miami Dolphins and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa have agreed to a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension, team sources said Friday, including $167 million guaranteed.
Tagovailoa said at Dolphins minicamp in June that he felt there was progress toward an agreement from where the two sides initially were when negotiations began.
“Now, you know, you can ask the other question and why aren’t we seeing, you know, an agreement,” Tagovailoa said in June. “Well, that’s the tough part about it.
