After many hours of enjoying the base game, I decided to try my hand at modding with the aim of providing a different gameplay experience.
This is a compete overhaul of the game, almost all weapons traits and units have been adjusted in some way.
Focus:
- Interesting tech tree decisions
- Tech expanded to 15 tiers making some techs harder to reach
- More options to specialise your city
- Units specialised to specific roles, opening counterplay/builds

Always happy to receive feedback, especially in terms of balance. I tend to play on World size Large, Land mass Low and Low resources, artefacts, wildlife. I find this leads to more interesting fights over resources, chokepoints that can be held and opens up flanking transport moves across large bodies of water.
Compatibility
As this is a complete overhaul mod it generally won't be compatible with other mods.
I've avoided touching the following areas, so mods only impacting these may be compatible:
- map generation
- difficulty settings
- textures
