All cars have gotten the acceleration reworked
All cars have gotten removed paper weight jumps and made heavier
All cars now have acceptable speed and while the acceleration is varying they are all usable means of transport. Not all cars are designed for rally cross driving though, so do so at your own peril! The muscle cars are incredibly fast and got somewhat shaky handling. The Asian car types (modern Sedan) are probably the most rounded car in this tweak. The Rally Hatchback is really fun and the best rally car in the game, as it should be. The old pickup can take a lot of punishment both from crash and zombies, this is not something I tweaked but I noticed it in the files when I was tweaking so it's probably the most reliable car to use overall now that it got acceptable speed even though it's still the slowest car in the game.

Fixed a stock game suspension bug with the sedan (uneven suspension on one wheel)
Fixed suspension for all cars (added varying degree of stiffness depending on car type)
Decreased crash damage to avoid wrecking the car totally due to the vastly increased speeds
I tried to make it as realistic as possible. The most noticeable effect is that the front wheels won't clip through the hood of the American Sports Car's anymore. I've also made the sports cars slightly better handling in this version. They are still hard to drive at full speed but it was nearly impossible in the stock version.
Install
Extract/Copy the folder "game" to the game install directory (where the game's executable file is).
Give a holler in the comments section if you have specific requests like a slower top speed version or a stock speed version with only suspension fixes for example.
