The next two images, I think, gradually add the steam/fog into our point of view, putting us in there with the actors until on that final image the actor's feelings stand out above the scene composition.
I'm not saying this is the case but just that it's how it feels to me. Great set, Mila! :)
p.s. If it's not obvious, sometimes I spend more time analyzing the composition and photography of your images because I know you put a lot of deliberation into every single detail, probably every pixel, of every image :)
