Reworks various subclasses and abilities to offer better gameplay variety.

Permissions and credits
This mod reworks various subclasses and abilities in Deadfire to offer a better variety of options in gameplay. In particular, certain high tier abilities have been improved to make single-classing more appealing. Some bugs in the vanilla game have also been addressed. This mod is intended to work in Real-Time with Pause and has not been tested for Turn-based mode. Please don't update this mod mid-playthrough, or things may break.

Wizard:
- Fixed bug with incorrect reference for Miasma of Dull-Mindness (thanks Askillian!).

The following changes have been made, with + indicating that a specific change is applied to both that ability and its upgrades:

* - Bug-fix for the vanilla game
* - Adapted or borrowed from the Deadfire Balance Polishing mod (thanks, Elric Galad and noqn!)
* - Adapted from the Wizard Revision mod (thanks, kronnos!)
* - Inspired by the Community Patch mod (thanks, Phenomenum, MaxQuest and co.!)

Universal:
- (Island Aumaua) Among the Waves is no longer combat only.
- (Marine Godlike) Wave Walker no longer grants immunity to Fire statuses and Water attacks. Now immune to Push/Pull effects and has +2 Crush Armor.*
- Spell Shaping now applies +2 Power Levels when spell AoE is reduced and -4 Power Levels when spell AoE is increased.
- Summoned weapons all have base 30s duration.

Barbarian:
- (Mage Slayer) Passive Spell Resistance and potion restriction removed. Now has -30% duration for all Beneficial and Hostile effects.
- Carnage now deals 67% base weapon damage in a 1.5m radius AoE with melee attacks. Now scales with PL.*
- Thick Skinned now works as described and always provides bonus Engagement.*
- Barbaric Blow+ replaced by Wrecking Blow+. Wrecking Blow costs 2 Rage and delivers a Full Attack with +25% bonus Damage, applying Carnage with +75% bonus damage and +75% bonus AoE size.
- Barbaric Smash replaced by Wrecking Smash. Wrecking Smash applies Carnage with +150% bonus damage. 
- Crushing Blow replaced by Thrashing Blow. Thrashing Blow applies Carnage with +150% bonus AoE size.
- Wild Sprint+ now lasts for 8s.
- Lion's Sprint and Ram's Sprint now have the Beast keyword.
- Spirit Frenzy+ no longer Staggers allies.**
- Spirit Tornado now Staggers enemies struck by abilities.**
- Leap+ now correctly upgrades from PL5.**
- Dragon Leap and Panther's Leap now have the Beast keyword.
- Blood Thirst now works as described.**
- Heart of Fury now costs 3 Rage.*
- Blood Surge replaced by Blood Ire. Blood Ire grants +15% Action Speed when no Rage remains.
- Dazing Shout now deals 23-38 Crush damage.
- Driving Roar now deals 23-38 Crush damage.

Chanter:
- Non-offensive Invocation keyword renamed to Refrain. Offensive Invocation keyword renamed to Rebuke. Summoning Invocation keyword renamed to Summoning. 
- (Bellower): Bonus Power Levels now only applied to the Invocation cast. Phrases have +25% Linger duration for 10s after casting Invocations. 
- (Skald): Melee weapon Crits no longer restore Phrases but grant -25% Phrase duration for 10s.
- Blessed Was Wengridh... now adds +20% Stride instead of 1.2 Move Speed.
- Boil Their Flesh...+ now deals 48-54 Raw damage. Near Death enemies now deal Corrode damage as a 2.5m radius AoE instead of a cone.*
- ...Instruments of Death+ summoned Animated Weapons abilities now limited to twice per encounter. Animated Weapons are now genderless. Animated Great Sword's ability replaced by Crippling Strike. Animated Wand's ability replaced by Thrust of Tattered Veils.

Cipher:
- (Beguiler) Soul Whip+ now applies bonus damage against enemies with Mind Afflictions instead of Mind Inspirations.*
- (Psion) Gains Frisson Guard. Frisson Guard grants +7 to All Defenses for 6s whenever the cipher is Critically Hit.
- (Wild Mind) Miscast now only deals Raw damage to self equal to accrued Focus. Enemy invisibility reduced to 10s.
- Body Attunement now works as vanilla.
- Wild Leech now works as vanilla.
- Disintegration now deals 40 Raw damage on application and every 3s over 15s as ApplyOnTick.*
- Defensive Mindweb now ends on being Critically Hit instead  of on damage taken. Duration increased to 30s.
- Death of 1,000 Cuts renamed to Fragmentation.

Druid:
- Major overhaul of druid keywords. Keywords added: Blight, Land, Tide, Weather. Keywords removed: Elements, Storm, Tanglefoot.

- (Watershaper) Ngati's Claim is a new PL9 spell that deals 29-42 Crush damage and pulls in enemies by 6m in a 2.5m radius AoE at 3s intervals for 15s.
- Spiritshift Stag's Carnage is now a once per encounter ability that grants Carnage for 10s, dealing 33% base weapon damage in a 1.5m radius AoE on Hit.
- Spiritshift Wolf's Knock Down renamed to Wolf's Takedown. Now usable twice per encounter.
- Taste of the Hunt keyword changed to Beast. Now deals 8 Raw damage on application and every 3s over 9s as ApplyOnTick.*
- Boiling Spray moved to PL6. Now deals 33-42 Burn damage and applies 6 Burn damage per 1s over 6s.
- Firebug moved to PL4.
- Entropy now applies -50% Action Speed and causes the target to lose 10 Health per 3s for 15s. Taking damage from other sources adds 2s duration to both effects.
- As the Land Yawns is a new PL8 spell that deals 32-41 Pierce damage and Prones on Hit in a 2.5m radius AoE, then deals 32-41 Crush damage to Prone targets and removes them from combat for 5s.
- Great Maelstrom now deals 37-45 Crush/Freeze or Shock/Burn damage at random at 3s intervals. Duration increased to 9s.
- Touch of Death now applies -5 all Power Levels for 20s if the target is not Near Death. Now targets Fortitude.
- Tornado now deals 60-96 Slash/Crush damage and knocks up on Graze.

Fighter:
- (Black Jacket) Learns all weapon styles by default.
- (Unbroken) Shield Mastery replaced by Dauntless. Dauntless grants +3 Deflection per 6s to the fighter while standing in place, up to 3 stacks. Moving clears this effect. 
- Constant Recovery+ now lasts until combat ends.* Constant Recovery now regenerates 3 Health per 3s. Black Jackets instead regenerate 3 Health per 6s.
- Rapid Recovery now regenerates 5 Health per 3s. Black Jackets instead regenerate 5 Health per 6s.
- Into the Fray+ now costs 1 Discipline.* Recovery time increased to 3s.
- Lower their Guard now applies -10 Armor Rating against the next attack taken by the enemy in 10s.
- Conqueror Stance renamed to Duelist Stance.
- Unbending+ now works as described (see below for details).Each Unbending+ stack triggers on application and at 3s intervals over fixed 6s duration.
- Unbending now correctly placed at PL5.With a 16.7% base damage conversion, 25% of attack damage is regenerated as Health over time.*
- Unbending Shield grants 16.7% base damage conversion and regenerates 25% of attack damage as Health over time.*
- Unbending Trunk grants 22% base damage conversion and regenerates 33% of attack damage as Health over time.*
- Clear the Path now correctly placed at PL8.*
- Power Strike+ replaced by Pummel Down+. Pummel Down+ costs 3 Discipline and deliver a melee Primary Attack with +100% bonus damage that Staggers the opponent for 6s and Interrupts on Crit. The next attack taken by the opponent in 10s deals +100% bonus damage. 
- Inspired Strike replaced by Battering Ram. Battering Ram also attacks all enemies behind the opponent in a 5m line, applying the same effects.
- Inspired Discipline replaced by Conquer. Conquer costs 3 Discipline and delivers a Primary Attack with +50% bonus damage that Prones on Hit and Dominates the opponent for 10s.
- Sundering Blow now costs 4 Discipline and has +4 Penetration. The opponent has -4 Armor Rating until combat ends.
- Toughened Fury replaced by Stubborn Grit. Stubborn Grit converts 15% damage taken to Health, restoring 5% lost Health per 3s over fixed 6s duration as ApplyOnTick when no Discipline remains.

Monk:
- (Nalzpaca) Drug crash penalty no longer persists after Arcane Dampener's effect ends on the monk.**
- (Sister of the Reaping Moon) Wound cost penalty removed. Killing an enemy adds 1 Wound but deals 8 Raw damage to the monk.
- Stunning Surge now costs 1 Mortification but no longer adds Wounds or Mortification on Crit.
- Shared Pain now deals Raw damage equal to the number of gathered Wounds at 3s intervals over 10s to passed enemies.

Paladin:
- Faith and Conviction now grants 2 to 10 bonus All Defenses based on favored dispositions, granting 5.1 bonus All Defenses by default.
- Faith and Conviction+ now scales by level instead of favored dispositions for non-Watcher characters.
- Deep Faith now grants 2 to 18 bonus All Defenses based on favored dispositions, granting 8.2 bonus All Defenses by default.
- Greater Lay on Hands renamed to Hands of Mercy.
- Reviving Exhortation+ now costs 2 Zeal. Ally now revived with with 100 Health and loses 50 Health after 15s.
- Abjuration now costs 3 Zeal.*
- Virtuous Triumph replaced by Redemption. Redemption adds 1 Zeal whenever an ally is downed.
- Sacred Immolation+ now deals 24 Raw damage to self on pulse. Self-damage duration now identical to AoE duration. 
- Divine Immolation deals 0 Raw damage to the paladin on pulse. 
- Sacred Sacrifice now heals 24 Health to all nearby allies on pulse. 
- Healing Chain now restores 40 Health per bounce for 6 bounces. Bounce targets can repeat.*
- Light of Pure Zeal replaced by Rapture. Rapture costs 4 Zeal and restores 90 Health to all allies within 2.5m. Enemies within range are Terrified for 12s.
- Divine Retribution replaced by Eternal Vow. Eternal Vow grants +15% Burn damage when no Zeal remains.

Priest:
- (of Eothas) Spiritual Weapon now also summons a Medium Shield with Scaling.
- (of Rymrgand) Ninagauth's Freezing Pillar renamed to Avalanche.
- (of Wael) List of known spells changed.

Ranger:
- (Arcane Archer) Imbue spells now have +2 bonus base Penetration. Imbue: Missiles now costs 1 Bond. Imbue: Fireball now costs 2 Bond.
- (Arcane Archer) Accuracy penalties, max Health penalty and Arcana bonuses removed. Imbue spells now disabled if Bonded Grief is active. Now has +20% Hostile effect duration and -15 Will. 
- (Gunhawk) Now has +20% Recovery.
- (Sharpshooter) Recovery penalty removed. Ranged attacks now have +1 Penetration and +10 Accuracy against targets more than 7m away, but have -10 Accuracy against targets within 4m.
- (Stalker) Companion Bond replaced by Pack Tactics. Pack Tactics grants +7 Deflection and +1 Engagement to the ranger and their animal companion while within 4m of the other. Bonded Grief is active when more than 7m apart.
- Stag's Carnage now activates on Hit. Stag's Carnage deals 33% base weapon damage in a 1.5m radius AoE.
- Wounding Shot+ now deals Raw damage equal to 10% attack damage at 3s intervals over 10s as ApplyOnTick. Now scales with Intellect but doesn't stack.
- Accurate Wounding Shot renamed to Wounding Bolt.
- Hardy Companion renamed to Nurse Companion.
- Takedown Combo replaced by Canny Takedown. Canny Takedown applies -25 Reflex to the enemy for 6s.
- Defensive Bond+ is no longer active when the ranger's animal companion is downed. Defensive Bond+ now correctly granted to the ranger's animal companion.**
- Hunter's Claw replaced by Cunning Stroke. Cunning Stroke+ costs 1 Bond and delivers a melee Primary Attack that targets the enemy's Reflex with +10 Accuracy.
- Hunter's Fang replaced by Cunning Rake. Cunning Rake adds 50% bonus damage to the attack.
- Beast's Claw replaced by Feral Stroke. Feral Stroke restores Health equal to half the damage dealt.
- Play Dead+ now has fixed 10s duration.
- Survival of the Fittest now correctly granted to the ranger's animal companion.**
- Superior Camouflage now correctly granted to the ranger's animal companion.**
- Bonded Fury replaced by Hunt as One. Hunt as One costs 3 Bond and grants both the ranger and their animal companion +15 Accuracy and +30% Action Speed while within 4m of each other for 30s.
- Vengeful Grief now lasts until the combat ends or when the downed ranger or animal companion is revived.**
- Shadowed Hunters now grants +50% Crit damage, +25 Accuracy and +4 Penetration on the first attack from invisibility.
- Distraction Training replaced by Master's Pride. Master's Pride restores 1 Bond whenever the ranger's animal companion kills an enemy.

Rogue:
- (Streetfighter) Recovery penalty increased to +30% when neither Flanked nor Bloodied. Recovery bonus decreased to -30% when Bloodied and/or Flanked.
- (Trickster) List of known spells changed. Now only learns a new spell at every two Power Levels.

- Devastating Blow now increases bonus damage by 3% for each percent Health missing on the target.

- Strike the Bell+ applies -1 Armor Rating for 10s to the opponent when used with a two-handed weapon.
- Strike the Bell+ applies 6 Raw damage per 3s for 10s to the opponent when used with a ranged weapon.
- Ring the Bell applies Dazed for 10s to the opponent when used with a one-handed weapon.
- Break the Bell applies -2 Armor Rating for 10s to the opponent when used with a two-handed weapon.
- Pierce the Bell applies 12 Raw damage per 3s for 10s to the opponent when used with a ranged weapon.
- Riposte no longer triggers on being Grazed but has a 50% chance to trigger when Missed by a melee weapon attack. 
- Shadowing Beyond+ now remains active after attacking. Duration reduced to 3s.
- Enduring Shadows duration reduced to 6s.
- Sap+ now delivers a melee Primary Attack with +2 Penetration and +25% bonus damage that Interrupts on Hit and increases all Hostile effect durations on the target by 3s.
- Perplexing Sap renamed to Clobber. Clobber increases all Hostile effect durations on the target by 6s. 
- Vanishing Strike duration increased to 6s. 
- Wall of Flashing Steel now grants +7 Deflection and applies -7 Deflection to the enemy for 6s whenever the rogue scores a melee Critical Hit.

Wizard:
- Major overhaul of wizard spell keywords. Each school now has at least one spell per Power Level.

- (Conjurer) Conjure Familiar is now a once per encounter ability. Familiars don't count toward the summon limit and their bonuses apply only to the owner.*
- (Conjurer) Beetle Familiar now grants +5 Resolve and resistance to Resolve Afflictions. 
- (Conjurer) Bird Familiar now grants +5 Perception and resistance to Perception Afflictions.
- (Conjurer) Grubling Familiar now grants +5 Constitution and resistance to Constitution Afflictions. 
- (Conjurer) Imp Familiar now grants +5 Intellect and resistance to Intellect Afflictions. 
- (Conjurer) Spider Familiar now grants +5 Dexterity and resistance to Dexterity Afflictions.  
- (Conjurer) Wurm Familiar now grants +5 Might and resistance to Might Afflictions. 
- (Enchanter) Free Action replaced by Afterglow. Afterglow reduces the duration of all Hostile effects on allies within 2.5m by 1s after casting an Enchanting spell.
- (Evoker) Doublecast replaced by Channel. Channel is a once per encounter ability that disables all non-Evocation spells for a fixed 10s duration. After 10s, the next Evocation spell cast is repeated.
- (Transmuter) Form of the Fearsome Brute is now a once per encounter ability. The Ogre now lasts for 20s and has base 7 Penetration, +35% Recovery and +3 Engagement.*
- Chill Fog now applies Blinded for 6s on pulse.
- Wizard's Double now works as described, bonus Deflection cancelled by an enemy scoring a Hit or Crit.* Now lasts for 30s.
- Binding Web no longer has -5 Accuracy.
- Mirrored Image now works as described, bonus Deflection reduced by an enemy scoring a Hit or Crit.* Now lasts for 30s.
- Combusting Wound stacks now deal 4 Burn damage on application and every subsequent 6s over fixed 6s duration as ApplyOnTick.*
- Arduous Delay of Motion now works as described, reducing enemy Action Speed by 33%.
- Concelhaut's Draining Touch is no longer a summoned weapon and now targets Fortitude.
- Nannasin's Cobra Strike renamed to Coiling Morph.
- Kalakoth's Minor Blights now change elemental damage type at fixed 6s intervals.
- Confusion replaced by Hallucination. Hallucination causes all enemies in a 1.5m radius AoE to become Charmed or Frightened at random for 6s at 3s intervals for 12s.
- Jernaugh's Equalizing Burst renamed to Reality Warp.
- Llengrath's Warding Staff no longer pushes when cast. While equipped, allies within 1.75m gain +10 bonus Deflection.
- Zandethus' Draconic Fury renamed to Draconic Fury. Now applies Terrified for 3s on any incoming melee attacks.
- Citzal's Enchanted Armory summoned weapons and armor renamed to Citzal's Eldritch Claymore, Citzal's Spectral Maul and Citzal's Phantom Cuirass. Citzal's Eldritch Grimoire and Citzal's Spectral Maul deal Raw damage. Citzal's Phantom Cuirass converts all incoming Grazes to Misses.

Installation
To install, simply unzip the file into your override folder. The changes should apply to any newly created character.

Prerequisites
This mod requires the PoE1 Icon Resource mod to correctly display ability icons. Additionally, it is highly recommended to install the Community Patch alongside this mod for the intended experience. The Community Patch Basic and Extra folders should be placed before this mod in the load order.

Compatibility
Unfortunately, this mod is not fully compatible with the Deadfire Balance Polishing mod due to overlapping abilities being changed. This mod should be fully configurable. However, some changes like the Druid subclass reworks are packaged together as they all require the same progressiontable changes. Any changes you dislike can simply be reverted by deleting the respective .gamedatabundle file.

In Progress
No longer any plans for a vanilla bug-fix patch, instead, bug-fixes will eventually be phased out as they become fixed in the Community Patch.
