Do you think free play's MadMan is too easy? You can tickle your masochistic side with this mod.
You will be presented the following options to make your life a hell...
To use this mod (completely as intended)you need to start a freeplay/sandbox game and select madman. (If I were you... skip the landing cinematic by holding down right click since during the cinematic you are consuming food/water.)
This mod requires BepInEx installed. ConfigurationManager is optional but recommended.
Manual installation instructions:(if you already have bepinex installed, Do step 2 then skip to step 6)
If you install the recommended ConfigurationManager when in game you can change any setting you like by pressing ESC first to pause the game and then hitting F5 to bring up the menu.
Attention: IF you want to use ConfigurationManager you have to edit your bepinex/Config/BepInEx.cfg file. Find the line "HideManagerGameObject = false" Change it to true. THEN ConfigurationManager will show when you call for it. Thanks to Zuleica for bringing it to my attention that they couldn't get it to show!

- Change the food/water extra consumption rate(configurable from 0% to 100% in steps of 10%)
- Enable health regeneration ONLY during sleep
- Permanent Injury: You have an internal injury that cannot be fixed by medkits. You will take a slow constant damage.(configurable from 0hp to 1hp in steps of 0.25hp)
- Enable Sleep uses 50% less resources: When you sleep your body slows down and uses less resources. (My mercy to you.)
- Enable start... with NO TOOLS: You will have some tools research unlocked but you must build the right tools from parts in your inventory and get the resources to build more parts in time to make a water well(if your consumption rate is too high and you are too slow... you die)
- Allow you to make vehicles use MORE power. (Checkbox makes it take less power instead of more). ATV lasts seconds at slider max.

- Get Bepinex from https://github.com/BepInEx/BepInEx/releases/tag/v5.4.21
- Open your Game directory by going to steam library -> right click on the game -> Manage -> Brows Local Files
- Unzip Bepinex directly into that folder.
- Run the game and then Exit the game once you see the main menu.
- IF you did things right you will see a folder called "plugins" inside the bepinex folder.
- NOW you can unzip this mod into the "plugins" folder.
- Edit the included config file Bepinex/config/ViroMan.OMars.InsaneMan.cfg if you want to change things... or use the ConfigurationManager in game.
- PLAY THE GAME... and die lots of times if you changed the consumption rate. lol
