About this mod
Gives subtle idles to companions while also making them smoke from time to time
- Permissions and credits
I downloaded and proceeded to edit the .esp from Companion Idles
- The changes are as follow :
1. I removed animations such as waving, scratching etc., and only kept subtle idles and smoking (See Veronica and Arcade clips)
2. My edit also covers the Waiting State
3. The animations are the same for Arcade, Boone, Cass, Raul and Veronica
4. The smoking animation lasts longer, but is still relatively short, to prevent it from being seen too much
- Note that you do not need the original .esp, you can just use mine
Misc. Infos :
- Companions don't need cigarettes in their inventory to start smoking.
- If a companion started to smoke and you decide to sneak, he/she is going to keep smoking in a mid-crouching mid-standing pose until the smoking animation is finished.
- The animations now have a condition that prevents them from starting being played when crouching, else weird results would happen.
- These idles can create clipping issues around the hips and torso areas, depending on the gear equipped. I already added conditions to the arms crossing animation to prevent it from being played if your companion wears a T-45d power armor, or the NCR salvaged power armor, because this was making very unpleasant clipping.
Compatibility :
Depending on your mod list, it is possible that a mod will overwrite a parameter of companions Package, which will prevent these animations from being played. For example, I noticed that Vicious Wastes was editing a parameter of Veronica's package, which was preventing these animations from being played for her.
I recommend opening your full mod list with FNVEdit and check my .esp to see if there are any conflicts. If there are lines in red, you can proceed to a simple drag and drop from one .esp to the other in order to solve the conflict.
Recommended Mod :
Smoke for Smokers (find it in the list using Ctrl+F). This will add smoke to the smoking animation.
