Changelogs
Version 1.3
Fixed an issue where ammo was almost impossibly scarce by making it less scarce.
Accomplished this by slightly increasing ammo spawns and drops as well as mixing regular ammo into the lists
So while you'll only get very slightly more ammo, more of it will be the more effective regular ammo rather than weak junk ammo
This means you'll use slightly less ammo over all while also finding slightly more
Version 1.2
Fixed an issue where I didn't realize that the majority of NPCs in DUST are evil, so the sanity gain I added for killing evil NPCs resulted it it being REALLY hard to go insane
Instead I just halved the sanity loss for killing NPCs so there's still the risk of insanity but it's easier to manage than vanilla DUST
Version 1.1
Added a few changes I've made in my personal version of the mod cause I'm never fuckin satisfied
Version 1.0
Fixed an issue where I've been sitting on this for like, 3 years and just never uploaded it
Very simple mod that makes DUST easier and more accessible without making it as easy as vanilla New Vegas.
I love DUST, but only after making it a bit less brutally difficult. After playing it, thoroughly scouring the map for lore, and getting several endings I felt like it was kind of too bad so many players can't get into the mod or are scared off because they, like me, can't/don't have the patience to manage the difficulty.
So I decided I'd take my balance changes and edits and make them available to everyone.
Changes include:
More starting health, but not as much as vanilla NV
More carry weight, but half as much as NV
Slower Thirst/Hunger/Sleep deprivation progression, but still faster than NV
Slower equipment condition decay, but faster than NV
Slightly less sanity loss for killing
Lowered Tunneler levels to fix their insane detection rate and range (this doesn't effect how deadly they are)
Fixed Ghostscript so that Ghost People are killable but still need to be dismembered unless you take the Ghost Hunter perk
Changes in Version 1.1:
Editted player and Default Body Part Data so the player takes less damage over all, but still more than Vanilla NV (Unfortunate result is NPCs also take less, but headshots are still usually leathal for both players and npcs)
Added a fix for an issue where at night DUST instantly changes the weather to NVWastelandClear. This was mostly only noticeable with weather mods, but annoyed the hell outta me.
Made it so killing evil/very evil npcs gives a very slight sanity gain, cause it makes sense to me that the Survivor would feel good about killing a cannibal or psychopath, stopping them from killing others.
Changes in Version 1.2:
Reverted back/removed the Sanity gain from killing Evil/Very Evil npcs cause it turns out most of the NPCs in DUST are evil, and this makes it almost impossible to go insane.
Changes in Version 1.3:
Increased over all player ammo efficiency in DUST slightly. Players will now find slightly more ammo on enemies and as loot, with more regular ammo mixed in. So while you're only getting very slightly more ammo over all, you're getting more effective regular ammo more often so you use less bullets over all.
