Changelogs
Version 1.0
Initial release. Allows trap disarming with a single keypress, bypassing the dialogue box.
Optional file: Added script to disable pop up low skill message boxes in favor of corner messages.
This mod for vanilla Fallout: New Vegas and Tale of Two Wastelands enables the player to disarm any trap or trap trigger with just one press of the interact key, removing the dialogue box that pops up asking you to confirm and thereby making the act of disarming a trap more like it is in Skyrim.
The dialogue boxes that appear when the player does not have the skill to disarm a trap remain unmodified, giving you some warning that you have not been successful. Similarly, when re-arming a trap the dialogue box will appear as usual, to ensure that you do want to render the trap dangerous once more. Also, the laser emitters in the X-13 stealth course are unmodified, due to the numbers of options available aside from just disarming.
Compatible with anything that does not edit the scripts for traps (TTW changes have been taken into account).
Requires Fallout New Vegas and DLC for the regular version, Tale of Two Wastelands 3.3 for the TTW Version.
Now includes an optional file to remove the pop up message boxes informing the player that their skill is too low to disarm the trap, and move them to the corner message feed.
