A collection of scripts that change the weapon skill type of certain weapons. No esp.

Flamethrower, Cleansing Flame, Incinerator, Heavy Incinerator and the Flare gun use the Explosives Weapon Skill instead of the Energy Weapon Skill.
Gaus Rifle uses Gun Skill
The Gauss Rifle and the YCS/186 use the Explosives Weapon Skill, or Gun Weapon Skill, if you can use only one. Will it matter if you use both? No, but one will override the other.
The Proton Axe, The Inversal Protonic Axe and their thrown variants use the Energy Weapon Skill.
If you like a flavor only partially, you can open the text file and remove the line of the weapon you would like to have unchanged, or put a " ; " in front of that line.
While direct Edits get overwritten, a scripted change, mostly in an .esp will override the changes.
