This patch reworks many of the encounters in Immersive Fast Travel Encounters to exchange item losses for needs penalties instead, will allow for the player to be killed by any encounter if their stats are at a bad place, and outright redoes some of the encounter structures entirely.

Overview:
This patch reworks many of the encounters in Immersive Fast-Travel Encounters to exchange item losses for needs penalties instead, will allow for the player to be killed by any encounter if their stats are at a bad place, and outright redoes some of the encounter structures entirely.
In many cases of an activity being performed, but not actually happening in game (getting stung by a cazador, drinking a beer), I have substituted the actual functions of the game in.

Intended for use explicitly with Hardcore mode, I do not support non-hardcore users.

Features:
  • No more guaranteed item removals.
  • You can, and will, be killed by circumstance/a bad choice while at low health.
  • Some encounter criteria has been reworked, to affect a broader overall range of stats and factors.
  • Instead of health penalties on things like cazador stings, you will instead actually be poisoned.
  • If you get offered a drink and take it, you'll actually ingest a regular drink, providing synchronicity with your build's items.
  • If you get poisoned, you don't just lose a set value of health, you actually get poisoned. Use an antivenom or tough it out.
  • A few new Wild Wasteland encounters have been added. They are very, very rare.

Installation:
Install Immersive Fast-Travel Encounters
Install this and place it lower in your load order.

Questions:
Why kill the player?
In the original, health penalties usually damage you by about 50-75 HP. However, if you're lower than 75 HP, it only damages you a single point. I don't like that. I want it to be a unilateral penalty, which doesn't go easy on you if you're in a bad spot.
Why redo the way drinks/poisons/health penalties work?
My build is balanced for alcohol rad healing, stimpak and chem needs penalties, and more. As such, simply telling me that "You were hurt, you used a stimpak" doesn't always line up with what my choice would have been. Maybe I would have used a bandage instead, since I only have two stimpaks? Why didn't drinking that beer reduce my rads? Etc.

Upcoming Versions:
Feel free to suggest any ideas you have. Ideas for IFT encounters should probably be stated on the original mod, but if it's hardcore specific, I might write new ones here myself.
