Ryan's Awesome Gameplay Enhancements (or RAGE, for short) is a compilation of fantastic, small mods from around the Nexus that I put together to avoid completely blowing past New Vegas' hardcoded 255-plugin limit. In putting together this merge, I carefully chose mods that a.) had open permissions, or that I could obtain permission to include b.) weren't already included in existing compilations such as Unofficial Patch Plus c.) weren't frequently updated, so I wouldn't have to re-merge them every week or month, and most importantly d.) made changes that constitute a lore-friendly improvement over the vanilla game. If a change was overly subjective or controversial, I left it out. All relevant fixes from Yukichigai's Unofficial Patch have been incorporated, which means YUP is a requirement. JIP LN and JohnnyGuitar NVSE are also required since some of the mods included here depend on them to do what they do.
With that out of the way, here's what's included:
*I only decided to include Radiation Suit Rebalance for reasons of personal preference and compatibility.

And finally, a few little tweaks of my own:
  • Changed Silus, the captured Legionary at McCaran, to use a Wasteland Settler outfit instead of his Centurion armor. Because why would a dangerous PoW be allowed to keep his armor?
  • Speaking of settler outfits, took away the dirty beggar outfits that generic Novac settlers were wearing and gave them some clothes that didn't look like ass. Honestly, why were they wearing those in the first place?
  • Changed a couple of dialogue prompts to make the PC sound like less of a nincompoop. Instead of asking Horowitz for a "Vault trinket" (wth is that?), the player character will ask for a piece of Vault-Tec. Instead of telling Martina Groesbeck that "the Legion sent me to protect you" like the world's shittiest secret agent, you instead ask her if it's true that she spies for the Legion.
  • And x2, speaking of spying for the Legion, Vulpes will no longer lie about offering you a reward of caps or Legion coin for checking in on Martina. Now, if you persuade the Omerta thugs to back off, Vulpes will give you four Legion aureus (400 caps equivalent). If you simply kill the thugs, he is less pleased and only offers you two aureus and 15 denarii (~250 caps). You get nothing if you let Martina die, of course.
  • Jessup and his Khans from Boulder City (if they survive) will use normal Khan dialogue once they reach Red Rock Canyon, and the annoying "fuck Benny" line will only be said once by each of them.
  • Gave Veronica a laser pistol. The Brotherhood has at least a few of those lying around, no?
A massive thanks to all the authors listed above for being gracious enough to leave their permissions open, and an even bigger thanks to the New Vegas community for keeping this game alive for over a decade. This project is still a work in progress, so stay tuned!
