Without Abidcahngrembel's help, I probably would have never figured out how to make this! Show him/her some love over on his/her mod!
This is a custom player model that sets out to fix all the texture-mapping issues with the default player model, making it 100% compliant with skins made for the java edition slim model!
I got sick and tired of having to edit my skins, and compromising on eye placements and colors. Not anymore! With a fixed UV map, 6 different eye slots, 3 more mouth slots, the ability to have differently colored eyes(Heterochromia users rejoice!), and correct-ish-ly scaled overlays, this mod should fill all your skinning needs! I've included a few sample skins and an explanation image in the mod download to show you how it works.
The mod download now includes a Blockbench model for visualizing the skin, so you can perfect it before you even add it to your game!
