FOR LONG TIME USERS: OLD FILES PRIOR WILL ALWAYS ARE OBSOLETE, PLEASE REMOVE THE OLD FILES BEFORE UPDATING!

TLDR: 
Press the movement key (keyboard) or left directional stick (controller) toward your target while pressing the inputs for Webstrike, Knockup, Ground Pound (on ground) or base melee combos while near enemies to access a whole new set of moves. 
Breakdown of button inputs is below.

This mod will generate new suit slots in your suit menu, up to 5 depending on what settings you have enabled.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO EQUIP THESE SUITS FOR THE MOD TO WORK, THEY ARE JUST PLACEHOLDERS.

JUST LEAVE THE XYZ SUITS,  (NEW SUIT SLOTS), ALONE AND USE WHATEVER SUIT YOU WANT TO USE!

IF YOU SEE THE XYZ SUIT(S) IN THE SUIT MENU, THE MOD IS WORKING AS INTENDED.

File is in a new .modular file format, now requires Overstrike V1.5.0 or higher to install. To Configure the Mod's settings simply right click the mod in the Overstrike Menu!





What Each Module Does:

Select What You Want in Overstrike 
(Defaults to Avernix Edition Main file with nothing else enabled)


[Main File] Avernix's Edition: 
Added Special combos use animations that are faster and less buggy on bosses, ramps and near walls. This is the version I use.


[Main File] Flashy Edition: 
Uses launch slam finisher and miles air to ground finisher as Special Combos. Looks amazing, but Special Combo Enders can be buggy if used on bosses, ramps, or near walls.

[Optional] Finishers:
Pick between Flashy or Avernix, can mix and match between versions. Flashy has 2 hostage takedowns I felt were too slow for this mods combat, but look awesome, so I made an optional file for those who want to use them. 
Adds adds 8 additional finishers to line up (10 if using flashy), resulting in a total of 22 different finisher animations that will play at random, almost double the base game!

[Optional] Attack Speed:
'
Definitive Edition' has a 30% attack speed increase.
'Stopped Pulling My Punches' is a 50% increase.
'Default Speed' Restores speed to the games default.

[Optional] Attack Speed Bosses:  
Increases Spider-man's attack speed by 25-30% on bosses.

[Optional] Knockdown Animation:
Pick between the Definitive Knockdown vs. the Knockdown Flip from previous versions!

[Optional] Restore Dodge Under Attack:
This mod removes the dodge under attack in favor of giving the player more options after dodging under an enemy in combat. This file restores the dodge under attack from the base game.

[Optional] Directional Air Melee Camera Fix: 
This mod uses intro attacks from Electro, Vulture, and DocOck fights for the directional air combat moves, this module will disable the camera on those attacks, so they don't swing the camera on bosses, or when one enemy is left on the battlefield.


[Optional] Better Battle Focus:
Battle focus generates 1.5 finisher bars on a 30 second cooldown. Base game is 3 bars on a 90 second cooldown. This results in using battle focus more often, and more overall focus being generated.


[Optional] Restore Perfect Dodge SlowMo:
This mod reduces the slow down time of perfect dodge to be near non existent. Enable this file if you want to reenable the slowmo.

ADDED BUTTON INPUTS (Note these only work in while combat):
Since players use both controller and mouse and keyboard as well as various different customizations to their layouts, I will simplify the inputs to the following:

Melee = Basic Attack Button
Jump = Jump Button
Dodge = Dodge Button
Webstrike = Webstrike Button
Movement Key = WASD
Movement Stick = Left Stick On Controller

DIRECTIONAL COMBOS:
(16 total new ground combo attacks, 14 new total air attacks, and allows for longer combo chains).

Hold the Movement Key/Stick toward the target while attacking with Melee to only use directional combo chains. These access a whole new set of combo animations, and 4th hit no longer knocks enemies away, meaning unlimited combo chaining.

Leave the Movement Key/Stick neutral while attacking with Melee to only use base combos chains. The 4th hits of these remains a knockback as in the base game.

Alternate between holding Movement Key/Stick and not holding Movement Key/Stick toward target while attacking with basic Melee to mix combo chains, 
this results in near infinite combo animation variety!
These work in both ground and air combat.


KNOCK UP VARIATIONS:

Hold Melee on Ground = Default Knock Up

Hold Melee on ground + Movement Key/Stick toward target = Instant Knock Up (Puts you directly into air combat)

ADDED GROUND SPECIAL COMBOS:
You MUST attack an enemy at least once with a melee, or dodge under for these attacks to become available.

Tap Webstrike on ground near target + Movement Key/Stick toward target = Special Combo A

Tap Melee + Jump  on ground + Movement Key/Stick toward target = Special Combo B

Tap Webstrike on ground near target = Special Combo C 

Tap Melee Jump on Ground = Special Combo D 

Note: Special Combo animations depend on version picked. Pick Avernix for more realistic and fair, and Flashy for more flashy special combos.


REWORKED/ADDED AIR ATTACKS:

Hold Melee in Air = Knockdown Slam (knocks your airborne target directly to the ground)

Hold Melee + Movement Key/Stick toward target in air = Swing Kick (changed to require a directional input)

Tap Melee Quickly after Knockdown = Air to Ground Zip (allows chaining combos between air and ground)

ADDED SPECIAL AIR ATTACKS:
Attack an enemy at least one time while in the air for the following attacks to work:

Tap Webstrike near target + Movement Key/Stick toward target in air = Flipping Air Kick (Webs the enemy and kicks them up and far away with a brutal gut kick)

Tap Dodge + Movement Key/Stick toward target in air = Webbed Air Throw (Webs the enemy and tosses them far away behind you with a vicious throw)

Tap Webstrike in air near target = Instant Air Knock Up Kick (A knock up performed mid-air, very useful for chaining air combos)

Tap Webstrike in air near target Again= Double Air Knock Up Kick (A second knock up performed mid-air)


NOTE: This mod does not replace any of the base animations in game, it only adds more of them, and therefore should be compatible with most animation mods. Load them after mine.

To Take full advantage of all the added abilities, please at least install the x2 enemy health module from Peter Must Die, and play on either Spectacular or Ultimate (Ultimate is my recommendation). Otherwise things will die too fast!


While I have thoroughly tested this version of the mod through the entire campaign more than a few times, there may still be a few very minor bugs here or there.


If bugs are found, please post in the comments section of this mod in as much detail as possible and I will address your issues as soon as possible. This mod is over 10000 lines of custom code at this point, with may files to keep track of. If reporting a bug, please list exact versions and files of this mod you have installed.

Only Known Remaining Bugs (Unfixable, but not game-breaking):

- With Flashy Edition, Launch Slam Special Combo ender sometimes doesn't play the react right when used against walls, railings, or ramps. (There is no fix for this, its a symptom of the original animation being a finisher, if it bugs you like it did me, use Avernix Edition)
- With Flashy Edition, Special Combo Enders do not play the right react when used on bosses. (No fix for this either, bosses do not have these reacts in their animation set, and therefore these attacks do not work properly on them, this is why I developed Avernix edition)
- Special Combos do not work consistently until after the tutorial. (Unfixable, but a minor annoyance. Reload Checkpoint to fix.)


BEFORE REPORTING A BUG, PLEASE TRY THIS:

For common solutions to all mod issues, join the modding discord server, and check the pinned messages in the support and help channel. Most issues are fixed by a simple TOC, TOC.BAK Reset (takes about 2 minutes), and the pins in this channel will show you how to do just that! This is usually caused by a error when installing conflicting mods over and over again, or after the game has been updated.
