About this mod

Powered by the DAMP RTGI shader, this mod aims to upgrade Lies of P with better ambient occlusion, more realistic global illumination, and higher resolution shadows

This is a reshade preset that focuses on using the DAMP RTGI shader to add raytraced global illumination in a performance friendly way, while also not requiring paying for any RTGI shader. I've tuned it for this initial release, but will keep fine tuning it. It really shines near light sources as it realistically makes the light bounce around the scene.

The shader is created by Zenteon and you can find the Github page here

My computer specs and settings I use:
Ryzen 5 3600
RTX 2060 12gb
16GB DDR4 ram

Max in game settings, motion blur turned off.
1440P DLSS Balanced
Pretty steady 60fps with the reshade turned on.

Installation:
1. Download Reshade
2. Download this mod, and unpack the rar file where you want
3. Choose Lies of P exe and select DX11/DX12
during installation of reshade, choose the preset file you downloaded from this mod (inside the rar file)
this will ensure it downloads the shaders you need automatically
4. Launch the game. You can use the Home key to bring up the reshade menu
5. Unchecking "performance mode" means you can tweak the settings of the shaders to your liking.
6. Enjoy!

Optional:
If you want higher resolution shadows and the best texture filtering,
download the BetterShadows.rar file from this mod. It has a GameUserSettings.ini inside it. Open this ini with any text editor.
You'll want to edit your resolution to whichever you use. Mine says 2560x1440 because that's my screen resolution. Here you can also enable FSR2 or DLSS, Vsync, etc. My changes are at the top under [ScalabilityGroups] which range from 0 to 4. In game settings max out at 3. So, changing them to 4 here enables a hidden uber max setting essentially. Here I've stuck with just shadows and texture filtering. But you're welcome to try changing the others to 4 as well depending on your hardware.

Once you make your tweaks, you can save it. Then, navigate to your /Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/Lies of P/LiesofP/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/ and first make a backup of your current GameUserSettings.ini. Then copy the one from this mod that you modified earlier. Done! Now you can launch the game and enjoy better shadows.
