The origin of the sword is either Flemish, Burgundian or Italian.
The original ceremonial sword can be found in the collection of the Cluny Museum, Paris:
https://www.musee-moyenage.fr/collection/oeuvre/epee-duc-de-milan.html
The original sword is a bastard sword while in Kingdom Come: Deliverance there are only two categories, short & long swords.
The mod comes in two variants and you can choose whether you want the sword to act like a
longsword
or shortsword
in-game.The only difference between the two is that the
longsword
variant requires a minimum Strength: 10
,and the
shortsword
requires a minimum Agility: 10
instead. The two variants use the same unique item ID and you can switch between them at will by swapping the mod folder.
Installation
1. Create a
Mods
folder in the game's install path if it doesn't exist2. Extract the mod archive to a temporary folder
3. Copy either
Duke_Sword__longsword
or Duke_Sword__shortsword
but not both to your Mods
folderExample for the Steam version of Kingdom Come Deliverance:
%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods\Duke_Sword__longsword
or:
%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods\Duke_Sword__shortsword
Note: If you use mod_order.txt to load multiple mods in a specific order then you must manually add an entry for this mod to it.
Usage
The sword can be bought from the Rattay Swordsmith. The shop must restock before the item becomes available.
This may take a few in-game days.
Alternatively, open the game's console by pressing ~ and type the
add_duke_sword
command to add it to your inventory.Compatibility
This mod adds a new standalone item and should not conflict with other mods.
It requires Kingdom Come: Deliverance version 1.9.4.
