"Quality of life" mod is released ! This is a standalone Mod without any game file modification !
MOD LANGUAGES TRANSLATED : English - French - Russian

EASY INSTALLATION :
  • - Place the archive (ZIP file) inside game root directory (where "Going Medieval.exe" is)
  • - Right-Click on it > "UNZIP HERE" !
  • - Enjoy !

  • IF Mod Manager Window don't open in-game, try to press F5 or HOME to show it (as show in screens). If it's still don't work, it can be a BepInEx problem (be sure to overwrite files in .exe folder for .ini and winhttp.dll, make backups before)
  • You can now change shortcuts for Mod Window ! into the file "keycode.ini", information & keycodes are given into the file.

REQUIREMENT :
-- DO NOT USE WIHT BepInEx ! it'll make conflict and the mod or BepIn will not be launched.
- To use BepInEx when needed (i saw devtool or char edit) u can keep you bepinex in separate directory & make 2 files "doorstop.ini" (they are given with any mods using it) to launch BepInEx OR my GoingMedievalModLauncher (my mod use this).


NB : Original JSON files are given in the zip in their original folders, named with extended name "FILENAME_original_QoL_Mod.json".


Additions :
The mod is using Going Medieval Mod Launcher (GM Mod Launcher) which is given in the archive, it's also possible for anyone to add/make Mods with.

Later , separate mod files will be available.

Mod work with ATOM ReShade too as shown.

Lot of errors in "not enough rooms" base-mod has been corrected. Such as forbidden builds not shown. Recipes has been updated for more "Tech Level" but a better balance is currently in study, to do a nice Early - Mid - End game configuration.

If you want to add more rooms : Just add rooms into my "mods/Data/RoomType_Extension.json" file, you can add effectors like that.
I am also still testing some "room effectors" for stable actually.


NOTES ABOUT "Not Enough Rooms" UPDATES :

STABLE ADDITION !! : You will now have the possibility to increase your production of animals products ! For now you just need to bring your settler inside the room and force him to eat while enlisted to get a 48 Hours boost of x2 animal yield production ! The mood boost is minor so don't bother to use place inside for table & chair.

The Stable Boost will do x2 to your actual skill yield.
You may also need to know that your yield naturaly increase with your level in "Animal Handling" :
  • Level 1 : 0.5
  • Level 25 : 1.0
  • Level 50 : 1.5


HOUSES :  Noble House & Royal Apartment :
Buildings for Mid-Game & End-Game, after making buildings with lot of small bedrooms for your settlers, you can make them "houses". Theses houses won't be easy to do :) but increase your settlers overall capacities.

For example you will need Silver or Gold Chest for Noble & Royal houses + candles. Wood walls are forbidden for theses classy houses. Royal houses even require only Brick-made wall & floors. But they all allow 2 beds per houses, to avoid confusion with classic single bedroom.

They will also need some space ! But not too much yet. 25 (5x5) and 49 (7x7) minimum size for Noble & Royal. But they need security, Reinforced Doors are required.

Bonus : Theses cozy houses will make your settlers happy & concentrated. Sleeping in theses houses will not only give a superior mood bonus to your settlers, but also for production.
They will have Mood + Faster work speed + Faster XP gain. And better quality of production ! (items crafted will have a better chance to get higher quality).


MID GAME ROOM :
 ARCHIVES


"The archive room is the place where the most precious documents are kept. Any source of flame who can be dangerous is prohibited there, only fireproof elements such as leather banners, candles, and well-made stones braziers are authorized there. Scholars learn and quickly write their documents in this serene and secure place."

This is the evolution of your library to learn & write documents faster.

Minimum Room Size : 80

Any torch and lot of wood elements are prohibited (wall-floor-etc), and require metal doors. For walls you have the possibility to make them in limestone or clay (fireproof).
Research speed bonus : 200%



END GAME ROOM :
IMPERIAL FORGE


"The Imperial Forge is the centerpiece of any colony. Allowing to create quality armor and weapon pieces very quickly."

This huge room will need all workshops and all walls/windows/floors brick-made and reinforced doors are needed at least.

Minimum Room Size : 150
Also for now don't forget to remove "tool shelves" on walls in case the game dont want to upgrade it from classic workshop (it may happen).

BOOST OF PRODUCTION SPEED : +345% !

NB: Don't think it's too much, it will allow you to craft for all settlers + updates of this mod will come with item additions and end-game items who may require this room if you dont want to spend days to craft 1 piece.

"The Hall of Valhalla or called Cathedral by the Restorationists is the largest building in a colony. Allowing any religion to pray to its gods, from the wooden cross to the blacksmiths who bless their hammer. All the greatest adventure stories are also told there during the organized banquets. Some virgins sometimes come to eat there naked !"

This awesome room is not only an upgrade of the Great Hall but also of the 2 chapels !

ANY religion can come for praying without any malus ! You will need at least 1 chapel of each religion, and same as other end-game rooms, full brick-made buildings & other funny things :)

Minimum Room Size : 250

Bonus : Mood bonus + XP Gain + XP CAP augmentation !
Yes, you read well, XP CAP ! This room will really allow your settlers to win x2 times more EXP per day !

Gaming Note : During the construction of this room ingame, it attracted x8 cannibals from a camp attacking me :S Once finished, someones flee from ravagers to join me(another cannibals ennemy). Now they'll come attack again :S . Maybe ennemies don't like this room :D Be prepared when you want to construct one. Odin is watching...




More additions such as items & stack increase are planned ...


DEV NOTES : if you want to add or modify rooms , you can in JSON files in "mods/Data" folder. But if you want to keep room order don't change their position or id in file. Even if you do it will just disorder their place ingame.
Balancing rooms prerequisite is still on development.
