Replace the three files [ Map Sizes.json, Types.json, WorldMapSettings.json ] in their corresponding file locations and enjoy.

xy(Z) Map Types

By changing the WorldMapSettings.json it makes it possible to add the two new map types without changing the originals. But the info for them is missing so to use the new map types you might need to change the map seed. Change to a map seed that includes both map types and use an xy(Z) map sizes [ why below ]. Make sure your map type in the scenario matches the make type in the summery so the proper map generates.

Two new map types:

Gorge:
A beautiful view but a terrain to treacherous to cross easily, hopefully you find yourself on the more favorable side.

Rocky:
A maze of rocks and mountain peaks. Perhaps natural protection from threats or maybe just a cage separating you from vital resources.

Map Size:

Adds a xy(Z) variant of the small, medium, and Large maps.  The zy(Z) map sizes increase the map height to level 22 and includes an extra large Vast map size [ Vast = 1.33 x large = 1.5 x medium ].

The new map types push ground generation to the limit. That being the case occasionally ground will generate above level 16 [the original map height cap]. Because of this you need to use the xy(Z) map sizes for the 2 new map types that increase level height to level 22. The new map sizes will allow you to build up to level 22 but ground generation will not visually render above level 16.

If the ground does generates above level 16 you can simply mine the ground. Scroll the viewed level down and back up to make the ramps visible. Then from the top of the ramp select the surrounding ground to mine it way. Alternatively you can mine underneath it.

Notes:
  • Highly recommend modifying [ CameraSettings.json : "hightRange" "max": *** ] along with using Enhanced Camera mod.
  • The camera is based on ground level on the Rocky map type it bounces around [ sorry ] so when possible change to the ground level your working on.
  • Mining ground to fix visual hiccups has crashed my game. Save before, should be fine.
  • Find a preferable map seed first. Generating small maps before generating a Large or Vast map size.
  • Trying to generate a Gorge or Rocky map type on an original size map seem to never happen when its trying to generate ground higher then level 16 but may on other occasions. If its taking to long because of selected an original map size you may need to close the program.
  • The new map types are altered in a way that generate in a less then optimized way and may take a bit longer to generate and a bit longer load.
  • Increased map height and increased map size plus new map types may take significantly longer to generate and significantly longer load.
  • More room to build means the need for exponentially more processing as the space is utilized please be aware that it may be extremely taxing on your computer.

Side note: This is just a product of me trying to make a cliff map type to so I could make hanging village. But was limited by the ground visual limit of level 16. I don't know what file limits the visual rendering or how to manipulate the hidden game files.  Although I was able to create this and I hope it helps the community.
