FALLOUT VIDEO-TEC : REMASTERED FALLOUT HD VIDEOS

Nothing much to say : you'll find ALL FALLOUT 3 GOTY videos / cutscenes (+DLC), HD remastered using AI Upscaling (1920x1080). Note that ALL VIDEOS have been converted to 60FPS for smoother sequence play...+ OPTIONAL XTRAS


Fallout 3 intro video exists in 2 versions :


- ORIGINAL version, no post processing treatment... green tint and overbright lightning . Surprised? ... just like the rest of the game isn'it?

- REWORKED version, post processing applied to reduce green tinting and reworked lightning applied (exposure, brightness, contrast, saturation, tinting, HDR, gamma).

WHILE I BELIEVE THESE HD VIDEOS LOOK MUCH MUCH BETTER, I AM NO MAGICIAN THOUGH : IT REMAINS ARTIFACTS/NOISE/TINTING/ALIASING BUT NOW... IN HD  :)

OPTIONAL PACKS :


MothershipCrew_HD_VIDEO_PACK :

- Fake HD 4/3 aspect re-encoded into 16/9 (Black bars added on each border)....there was no way i could stretch original video without distorting final rendering.

- MothershipCrewChapterIIIIntro.bik : the first 10 seconds of the video have been cut-off since it was a mix of noise/motion flickering/aliasing... impossible to restore.



Functional Microscopes V1.0_HD_VIDEO_PACK :

- Changed video aspect ratio from 720x480(?) to HD 1920x1080(16/9)

SINCE "Functional Microscopes" mod has been merged with other animated ressources by AmaccurzerO into his "Animated Wasteland" MOD, THIS VIDEO PACK IS SUITABLE AND RECOMMENDED FOR BOTH MODS.



Original FAllout 3 GOTY video pack : just in case you don't read install instructions and overwrite original game videos... if you do so, and you don't like this you won't be able to uninstall/restore original videos.

MISCELLEANOUS NEW VEGAS INTRO :

UHQ version of FNVIntro.bik found in New Vegas. Might be needed for TTW players. This video won't be published on New Vegas Nexus pages as it already exists.and was created by Sternjaeger.
This video is better quality though...sharper and more details

INSTALLATION :

- Make a copy of your existing Data\Video folder.
- Extract archive content to your root folder, it has a folder structure (Data/Video)

or install it using FOMM.


UNINSTALLATION :

- Delete Data\Video folder and restore saved previously saved Video folder

or UNINSTALL using FOMM, it will restore old videos.

POSSIBLE BUG :

... it has been reported by New Vegas players that upscaled videos may not play full screen but reduced on the left upper screen corner ...
Possible fix is to turn off Vsync. I personnaly use vsync and didn't experience that issue but it might be worth to try deactivate vync in both Fallout.ini + Falloutprefs.ini (iPresentInterval=0) or use Launcher/Bethini EXE, in case it happens to you.
