What it does

ReshadeMap enhances the looks of all Tamriel maps when using Reshade.
It is optimized for "Yet Another ReShade Preset" v1.2 by ellaa

Performance

ReshadeMap tells ESO to exchange 16.805, very small map images. So how does it perform?
The new images are exactly the same size as the old ones so all maps should behave like they did before.
However because you now pay attention to it, you might notice a large map load (very quickly) when you open it for the first time.
This behavior is no different to before, at least in my case with a SSD installed.

Installation

Unpack files to your SavedGames\ElderScrolls Online\live\AddOns folder so it looks like SavedGames\ElderScrolls Online\live\AddOns\ReshadeMap
Alternatively you can use Vortex.

Install "Yet Another ReShade Preset" v1.2.

Changelog

2.0 update for ESO June 2020
1.0 release

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Important: Please use Reshade 4.3.0
Newer versions break the preset.

If you want to slightly adjust the preset like I did, you can do the following:
  • Open "another preset.ini"
  • Next to "Techniques" remove "FilmicAnamorphSharpen" from the list and add "HDR,Colourfulness,MagicBloom" to the list. So it looks like
    Techniques=AmbientLight,FilmicPass,FXAA,LumaSharpen,Tonemap,Vibrance,HDR,Colourfulness,MagicBloom
  •  Exchange  the following entries:

[FakeHDR.fx]
HDRPower=1.035000
radius1=0.906000
radius2=0.880000

[Colourfulness.fx]
colourfulness=0.067000
lim_luma=0.702000
enable_dither=0
col_noise=1
backbuffer_bits=8.000000

[Tonemap.fx]
Gamma=1.000000
Bleach=0.000000
Defog=0.290000
Exposure=0.000000
Saturation=-0.100000
FogColor=0.027451,0.027451,0.027451

[LumaSharpen.fx]
sharp_strength=0.912000
pattern=1
sharp_clamp=0.010000
offset_bias=1.000000
show_sharpen=0

This allows the image to be less sharp, slightly more vibrant and adds a subtle HDR effect.

Uninstallation

Delete the ReshadeMap folder
