This merges a 2.5x slower character leveling, which is akin to 60% less XP received, with Th3 Space Pope's Alternate Stat Growth mods for Magick Archer and Mystic Knight. Slower leveling is only applied to character levels, not dcp, so skills and vocation ranks advance at vanilla rates but hp/stamina/attack/defense increase slower.

Overview

This is a mod merge that adds a 2.5x slower leveling factor into the balanced versions of the excellent Magick Archer Alternate Stat Growth and Mystic Knight Alternate Stat Growth mods by Th3 Space Pope.

Please see those mod pages for further details on what they do, but in short those two vocations have 2 points less across their physical and magic attacks than all other vocations. The balanced version of those mods move a point each from Defense & Magic Defense into Attack & Magic Attack for those two classes, bringing them up to the same 7 point total as all other vocations have.

This mod then adds a 2.5x slower leveling factor on top.  This slower leveling doesn't touch Vocation leveling via dcp or even Experience gain via xp, so you'll get xp and dcp at the same rate as vanilla and can buy skills just as normal.  The mod changes the experience required for each character level instead, slowing it down by a factor of 2.5x.

For example, at level 20 you need 16,300 xp in vanilla to hit level 21.  With this mod you now need 40,456 xp at the same point.

So your HP/Stamina/Attack/MagicAttack/Defense/MagicDefense values will go up more slowly since you gain character levels slower, but you'll gain skills and vocation ranks at the exact same rate as in vanilla.

This could be considered equivalent to receiving 60% less XP. Though in reality the mod increases the level requirements by an equivalent factor so as not to impact the rate at which dcp and vocation ranks are received.

Pawns

This slower leveling affects your pawn too, so it does mean your pawn will have better skills at lower levels, so it'll be stronger than other pawns online.  If this bothers you and you still want to use this mod, play offline. Note that this doesn't really matter much once you hit level 20-30 since you would have maxed out your pawn in at least one vocation by then anyway.

Installation

Backup your existing nativePC\rom\game_main.arc file for easy uninstallation if you later need to.  Copy the nativePC folder in the 7z file to the base of your DDDA game, which already has a folder named nativePC.  Say yes when you're asked if you want to overwrite the file of the same name.  You're done.

To uninstall, copy your backed up game_main.arc file back into place or ask Steam to verify files if that's an option.

There can only be one mod that uses game_main.arc active - which is why this merge exists, to merge slower leveling with alternate MA & MK stats.

Credits

Th3 Space Pope for their 2 mods above, which are a nice way to rebalance those vocations if you don't want to play classes like Sorcerer just to play MA & MK.  Their mods are a nice in-between between vanilla and slightly faster attack growths for those vocations.
