OVERVIEW

This custom Vault Hunter replaces Zer0 (obviously). For those who are not into modding and will be wondering and saying how this character looks, talks, and do other stuff like Zer0, well, Borderlands 2 modding is very limited in what we can do. We can't ADD new things (at least not yet), we can only redefine existing things by changing their definitions. That is how modding in BL2 works. Now that I've got this out of way, let's talk about Strife.

He is an ex-Hyperion assassin who didn't like what Jack was doing as new CEO of Hyperion. He went awol and Jack for what he is, saw this as an insult to his character. He's been hunting Strife ever since.
The character is based around Cloaking, Hyperion tech (obviously again) and Corrosive element. I've tried to make him feel and play differently than Zer0 (and I think I've succeeded to some extent). Depending on your build and playstyle you get benefits for staying infiltrated for a longer time, or you can abuse action skill to get the most out of some other skills.
Character comes with modified action skill to fit the theme, 32 new(ish) skills, introductory ECHO, all new Class Mods, custom Quest and Unique gun (more about that in Features section).

INSTALLATION AND COMPATIBILITY

Mod is saved in .blcm format which requires you to import the mod in BLCMM to use it. In addition, this mod use hotfixes that need to be merged with BLCMM. You can find and download BLCMM here.

  • I would suggest you to disable all other mods that modify Zer0 to avoid any conflicts;
  • This mod should be compatible with UCP (it should simply overwrite all UCP changes).

FEATURES

  • New Class ID: INFILTRATOR;
  • Changed character name and customization;
  • Introductory ECHO;
  • Modified Action Skill, INFILTRATE: Activate your suit and cloak for a few seconds. The longer you are cloaked the more damage your next shot deals but ending cloak sooner results in less energy usage and shorter cooldown. In addition, upon Infiltrate activation you restore 50% of your max health;
  • INFILTRATION, APTITUDE and INQUIRY skill trees packed with 32 new skills;
  • His melee attack is changed to Corrosive Damage that can apply Status Damage to enemies. Both Damage and Status Damage is based on your Melee Damage bonuses, but it benefits from Elemental bonuses as well. New FX to fit the changes;
  • All new Class Mods, including ALL Legendary and Alignment Class Mods from Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC;
  • Custom Quest, RECONCILIATION: A beefed-up version of "Defend the Slab Tower". You need to retrieve your unique gun (it's in the container you defend) that you've lost when the train crashed at the beginning. Hyperion got it, now you want it back;
  • Now, as I've mentioned earlier, I need to make some notes about his unique gun. This is something I've developed for most of my guns from my own overhaul that I'm working on (more about it soon(TM)). I call it Gun Skills. Basically, it gives assigned character unique properties that enhance some aspect of that character. Strife's unique gun is NOX, which increases the efficiency of his Energy Conversion skill.
