Description

This subclass mod was done as another collaboration with the always talented Shayedd who has done the adaptation of the class to BG3 and supplied the icons. A couple major changes were made in order to better fit, and feel better to use, in BG3 rather than tabletop. And a note from her on that:

"Moon Domain is something I have loved on tabletop for a long time and when Larian announced what Cleric domains would be in BG3 I wasn't at all surprised to not see Moon Domain on the list due to it's heavy RP playstyle. That being said, I still want to play Moon Domain in BG3 and while this is a very different version of that, I'm personally really happy with how it turned out, feeling a lot more playable than it's tabletop counterpart. It's definitely strong, some people will probably consider it "OP", I play with difficulty mods so when I'm adapting something that's always in the back of my head. I hope you all enjoy my version of Moon Domain as much as I do and as always thank you to Skye for helping bring the thoughts in my head into BG3!

Requirements

You NEED VFX Library by Shivero. I'm putting this first to make it absolutely clear that I do not know
what will happen if you try to use it without it as testing gave mixed results. Maybe it will just look janky, maybe it will crash instantly. You NEED it.

Moon Domain

Since the Founding, all mortal creatures have looked to the skies and sensed the power and mystery carried by Catha and Ruidus, the two moons of Exandria. The Moonweaver herself is said to guide her worshippers from within the pale glow of Catha, revealing hidden paths and granting inspired dreams to those who pray to that moon. Distant, dark Ruidus is often regarded with awe and apprehension, considered a portent for fell deeds and bad luck.

Clerics of the Moon Domain draw on their divine connection to the moons to wield light and shadow, invoke good fortune and ill favor, and reveal or conceal as they see fit. Most Moon clerics worship the Moonweaver herself, but her followers are as varied as the stars in the sky. Some seek to protect the vulnerable and do good in the world, while others meddle with impunity and distort the truth for selfish gain. Other Moon clerics worship not the gods but the moons themselves, especially those with an innate connection to the lunar cycles through lycanthropy. - Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn

Domain Spells by Spell Level

-1st Level: Faerie Fire, Sleep

-2nd Level : Invisibility, Moonbeam

-3rd Level: Hypnotic Pattern, Glyph of Warding

-4th Level: Greater Invisibility, Banishment

-5th Level: Telekinesis, Moon Strike (Functionally the same as flame strike with some different VFX)

1st Level

-Clarity of Cathia:  When a creature within 30 feet of you that you can see makes a Wisdom saving throw, you can use your reaction to grant that creature advantage on the save. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

2nd Level

-Channel Divinity Blessing of the Full Moon: As an action, you instill a willing creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that you can see with one of the following blessings of your choice:

• Blessing of the Watchful Moon: For 15 rounds, the blessed creature’s speed increases by 10 feet, and it can jump without using a bonus action.
  

• Blessing of the Blood-Drenched Moon: For 10 rounds, the blessed creature has advantage on attack rolls against a target if at least one of the blessed creature’s allies is within 5 feet of the target and the ally isn’t incapacitated.
  

6th Level

-Channel Divinity: Lunar Echoes: Starting at level 6, when you use this Channel Divinity, you invoke the power of the lunar phases, creating an ethereal echo of yourself. For 10 rounds, this lunar echo appears as a moonlit copy standing next to you with the following abilities:

Echo Abilities: 

• Mirror Cast: When you cast a spell, the echo can instantly cast the same spell. This does not consume an additional Spell Slot, but the spell’s effect must target a different creature than your original spell. (Twinned Spell Reflavor)
• Lunar Guidance: Once per turn, when you make an attack roll, ability check or saving throw, you can gain advantage on the roll as a reaction as the lunar echo guides your actions. 
• Moonlit Protection: As a reaction, when hit by an attack you can cause your echo to take the hit instead ending this ability
  

8th Level

-Empowered Cantrips: We stuck to this instead of Blessed Strikes since it isn't once per turn and therefore synergizes with Mirror Cast

12th Level

-Eclipse of Ill Omen: Once per long rest, you can use your bonus action to call upon the vermillion moon of Ruidus to flare in the sky above you, eclipsing all other light. Manifest an area of reddish darkness around you. In addition to the normal effects of Darkness, creatures in the area make saving throws with disadvantage, allies within gain Devil’s Sight, you gain +2 AC and the first time you inflict Radiant Damage to a creature within the Darkness, you curse* them until the Darkness ends.

*Curse of the Red Moon: creatures cannot regain hit points and move at half speed

Compatibility

Using the Compatibility framework you should have no conflicts and issues but if I am made aware of any thing I will fix it asap
