You will not see any changes during the character creation, size will be correct when you load the map.
Variant "A" works without any dependencies, but it will not be compatible with mods changing Half-Orc progression.
To find right size for you, use C variant from Misc files section. Do not use this in normal game! All size variants are added to Half-Orc as toggleable passives, so you can compare size change in game. Start new game, pick Half-Orc, and have fun using toggles. Requires Compatibility Framework.
