Resident Evil - Containment, is a new total conversion mod for the original 1996 release of Resident Evil. It follows the story of Ghost, a member of the Umbrella Security Service, who were sent into the Arklay Research Facility to investigate a distress call. This mod takes place shortly before the events of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil. This mod is a stand-alone release, which means you don't need the original game in order to play it.

The mod features a whole new story that loosely fits within the original Resident Evil time-line as well as many brand new locations, some of these new locations are based off the scrapped prototype concept art for Resident Evil and others are all brand new original creations. It also contains new cutscenes, new puzzles, new events, new music, new sounds, new FMV movies and also new gameplay features never before seen in Resident Evil!

Simply download the ZIP file, extract the game onto your desktop and run the 'Resident Evil Containment.exe' file.

Is there an easy mode or cheats for double ammo like in the original directors cut game ?? Great work man love it
I'm afraid not, however the game is balanced fairly, there's more than enough ammo to beat it :) I don't really like making 'difficult' mods.
runtime error 53 file not found when i start game ??
Your anti-virus probably deleted the 'REC.exe' file inside the 'data' folder as some AV's give a false positive due to the encryption. Just make an exception for it and it should work perfectly fine.
When I try to launch any episode it says file not found. All of the episodes are showing as 7z files under the data folder. Any recommendations?

Would love to see something that touches on going back to the Mansion after the explosion, exploring the abandoned ruins etc. I believe Capcom was playing with that idea for a project before RE 1.5 where the plants in and around the mansion ruins had been infected and come to life.

Make sure your controller and controls are correctly configured on the boot screen. If you still have issues, do a quick reset on your PC and it should fix the issue.
