Point of View (POV) is a new single player Half-Life MOD where you will play as a Alien Slave named Xonxt.
You will have new weapons to use, be able to explore new and old areas of Back Mesa and of Xen in a MOD with a story that will allow you to (re)visit areas of Half-Life, Opposing Forces and Azure Sheep but, this time, with a different point of view.
Humans will try to kill you, xen forces will ignore or attack you and you will have to survive to all this. Friends will now be your enemies and enemies your friends now that you play as a Alien Slave...
Compatible with Steam.

Has anyone gotten this mod working on Linux? For me, the game opens the main menu, but if I try to start the actual game, it just crashes.
It works fine for me
I did some digging around, and I found that putting
gamedll_linux "../valve/dlls/hl.so"
gamedll_osx "../valve/dlls/hl.dylib"
below the gamedll line in liblist.gam lets the game start. However, it doesn't function properly, seemingly not loading any custom content once you're in control.
I attempted forcing it to use Proton (aka Steam Play), and it seems to work better so far, albeit some text is garbled.
How do i do this

Every time i try to open it up, if i use the admin console it says "map change failed: 'povc00' not found on server."

WHY DOSE EVRY ONE LIKE THIS SO MUCH!?!?!? I can not fathom WHY this MOD has been getting so much praise when it practically ***** on valves ENTIRE game designe philosophy! Its levels are uncreative corridors with one extremely liner path (and I know that half-life it self was liner, but AT LEAST IT TRIED TO SEEM NON-LINER!) and like 1 and a half new weapons (I say half because 1 is literally a worse duel-wielded version of the hive hand), and on the subject of crapping on valves philosophy YOU CAN GET UNWINABLY STUCK IN THIS GAME. Like for example in a REAL HL game, if an enemy could only be killed with grenades, than a box would give you infinite grenades or there would be a lot around the area. In this game there is one such enemy and it can only bee killed with 2 weapons and barely tickled (as far as I can tell) by the "normal" electric attack. Well they give you a bunch before the fight! I hear you say, yep, too bad if you want to use different weapons besides the hive hands/claws/electric attack that you have been using for THE ENTIRE GAME!
In short, Play Half-Life:Echoes (an actually good mod) or ANYTHING ELSE.
