In 2010 I decided to save Medal of Honor: Allied Assault on my hard-drive to play it sometime later again. The atmosphere of this old game was simply enthralling.
However, just Medal of Honor wasn't enough. I added mods by various authors to the game. Some were incompatible together, so I decided to modify this mods. Therefor I created a new HD texture pack and added custom singleplayer maps by other modder's. Also I liked to aim on sight, so I added two ironsight modifications, fixed some bugs here and there. In 2010 I finished this standalone conversion with cmd runtimes to play that conversion I would like to play.
Now I like to release my package here at Moddb for the public. My conversion got some more fixes, an installer and a graphic driver guide to fit the resolution and 3D settings. All in cooperation with ZYQUIST & DERRULB.

Medal of Honor: Blurred Remembrance includes Cooperative gameplay with V1.60. We included four modifications for coop and runtimes to start each, start server, choose settings and so on. The Cooperative Mod is made by Marvin_hun & S.D.A..
For Multiplayer we added runtimes for dedicated server host's for the possibility of hosting servers running features of Blurred Remembrance. However, Blurred Remembrance was always intended to be a Singleplayer experience, therefor no stock Multiplayer is available.
We want to guarantee that Blurred Remembrance is a user-friendly and non-frustrating experience, without reinstall because of errors. Therefor recommend to use
Medal of Honor: Revival for the better experience of stock Multiplayer and custom downloads.
MoHAIM & Reactivated2 are mods to aim on sight. These are available for conversions of Medal of Honor Allied Assault.
To aim on sight press the walk button. The view is changing and the crosshair will disappear.
You can bind Run/Walk from the Medal of Honor Options menu, panel Controls, to the right
mouse button. You will need Secondary Attack to aim with sniper rifles. Therefor you may use
Left Shift or an other button.
To give Medal of Honor: Blurred Remembrance a fine look we took together some texture packs and made 1080p available within the configuration setup. Everything for more enjoyment.

> SETUP
Simply collect all five parts of Medal of Honor: Blurred Remembrance and extract them to on one folder on your harddrive. Use the installer and read all instructions carefully.
> STANDALONE
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is not separately modifiable such as Call of Duty. Modifications by
various authors were not compatible together, causing errors and glitches. This is the
reason why I made Blurred Remembrance a standalone conversion.
You will just be able to play the Medal of Honor: Blurred Remembrance conversions. To play the
original Medal of Honor: Allied Assault you need the original CD's.

V 1.61 includes:
The Patch is overwriting the setup config, you should do the setup again.
If you are new to this mod please read the main page of this mod. Thanks
To play Coop lagfree use developer 0 in console. Also it appears you can`t join your own dedicated server. We have no clue why yet (maybe you need to start a map).
Download this and extract the zip. Use the installer to apply this update.
Simply collect all 6 downloads. Afterwards collect all 5 .bin parts and the installer .exe unzipped together in one folder in order to install Blurred Remembrance. Read all instructions carefully.

I couldn't find a specific instruction after putting all five including setup into one folder.

You need all 5 parts (check) plus the installer in one folder.

hey guys can you help me out.. if tried all fixes and followed the walkthrough inside the BR folder and the game doesnt want to start.. im always stuck in the grey window with the MOHAA console and it says "unloading openGL DLL". ive tried waiting for it but it just stuck there
Hi, I am sorry for you. I think your gfx is not supporting mohaa.
You could try to find your own solution.
My alternative gl file helped on my laptop. However that's not a real solution.
I am sorry, i can't edit the engine.
Best Regards
Andreas
HOW ABOUT 1 DOWNLOAD INSTEAD OF 5??????
Not all deals with good internet. Do you want abortions within the download by a huge size of one package?
Peace
I didnt had much to do this morning, so i sorta read through all 33 pages of comments on this mod,
and i noticed that alot of people dont have an permanent solution to setting their FoV to 90, and have to sort to using the developer console to activate their FoV after each mission.
There is in fact an permanent solution, but its a bit tricky. i myself never knew a thing about hex editing until yesterday.
I used the Hex editor called: HxD . and followed the instructions on WideScreen Gaming, All Credits goes to them, not me.
:
FOV HEX edit:
Alied Assault: Go to \main\gamex86.dll
Cutscene FOV: Go to Offset 000A10A0 and change 00 00 A0 42 --> 00 00 B4 42 (16:10) or 00 00 BE 42 (16:9)
Game FOV: Go to Offset 00112E60 and change 00 00 A0 42 --> 00 00 B4 42 (16:10) or 00 00 BE 42 (16:9)
Spearhead: Go to \mainta\gamex86.dll
Cutscene FOV: Go to Offset 000E7830 and change 00 00 A0 42 --> 00 00 B4 42 (16:10) or 00 00 BE 42 (16:9)
Game FOV: Go to Offset 00147A50 and change 00 00 A0 42 --> 00 00 B4 42 (16:10) or 00 00 BE 42 (16:9)
Breakthrough: Go to \maintt\gamex86.dll
Cutscene FOV: Go to Offset 000EEB00 and change 00 00 A0 42 --> 00 00 B4 42 (16:10) or 00 00 BE 42 (16:9)
Rather then instructing each player to do this themselfs, i think u can also Hex Edit "Gamex86.dll" and bring it out as an quick hotfix patch or something.
Some Other Sidenote,about performance i noticed that the game is limited to 135 FPS ( games defealt is max 125 ) i played around with the limits a bit, and found that the Sweetspot is exactly 333 FPS, above 334 fps the game starts to show somme strange behaviors like shocking weapons. so the sweetspot is exactly 333 fps max.
The Console command is:
com_Maxfps 333
Im currently playing this on a Single 4k monitor, at a resolution of 3840x2160p,
( going to bed now ) but tomorrow im gonna try to play this on my Triple 4k monitor setup, and see if i can get the game to work on 11520x2160p resolution,
I knew when i bought the triple 4k monitor setup that i couldnt play next Generation games on that resolution, but old games like this, or C&C Renegade, are awesome on 12k resolution !!!
I wish I could hex Call of Duty for correcting the jump behavior and add resolution things.
Nice to see you enjoy creating your own pleasure. Thanks also for your comments.
Best Regards

Hi all, I wanted to play the Entire series, + 7 extra campaigns in Chronological order, so i made a list of all dates of all operations:
Chronological Order:
Allied Assault:
Lighting the Torch (November 7, 1942)
Scuttling the U-529 (February 12, 1943)
Breakthrough:
Battle of Kasserine Pass (20 feb. 1943)
Sicily (July 10, 1943)
Das Ende:
Infiltration (10 Agustus 1943)
Search and Destroy (10 Agustus 1943)
Escape Facility (11 Agustus 1943)
Escape Station (11 Agustus 1943)
Escape Airport (11 Agustus 1943)
Breakthrough:
Italy (January 12, 1944)
Krugerland:
(Only a few months before launching the final assault on Europe)
Spearhead:
Operation Neptune (June 6, 1944)
Allied Assault:
Operation Overlord (June 6–7, 1944)
Carentan:
(10–14 June 1944)
Allied Assault:
Behind Enemy Lines (June 22, 1944)
La Coupole:
Reach of Calais: (29th June 1944)
Allied Assault:
Day of the Tiger (August 20, 1944)
Defeating Operation Nordwind:
Stage one: (15 november 1944)
Spearhead:
Battle of the Bulge (December 24–25, 1944
Allied Assault:
Return to Fort Schmerzen (January 18, 1945)
Spearhead:
The Battle of Berlin (April 30, 1945)
P.S.:
The missions XYZ i could not find a date anywhere. but the setting of the first mission is in Normandy, so i assume its right after Operation Overlord.
Other Sidenote, "Defeating Operation Nordwind" and "Carentan" may have more than 1 mission, although i did not finish the mission to check it out, ill do it when i come by it on my chronological order.
Hey all, im on an nostalgic tour, i had this game when it first came out and had a brandnew pc for it, back in day, hehe.
now, 15 years later, i wanted to try this game again,
im currently trying to setup the game to play on 3840x2160p, im looking in your "br_settings.cfg"
and found the following text:
// ** Resolution ** -- r_mode "number" will set the resolution,
// e.g. seta r_mode "4" = 800x600.
//
// Here you can load default resolutions within this .cfg file to force them.
//
// exec _m4.cfg = 800x 600, recommended
// exec _m6.cfg = 1024x 768, recommended
// exec _m7.cfg = 1052x 864, recommended
// exec _m8.cfg = 1280x1024, recommended
// exec _m9.cfg = 1600x1200, recommended
//
// exec _hd.cfg = 960x 720, recommended
// exec _fhd.cfg = 1440x1080, recommended
//
// exec _720.cfg = 720p, 16:9 - however not recommended, the Crosshair and Hud is wider
// exec _1080.cfg = 1080p, 16:9 - however not recommended, the Crosshair and Hud is wider
//
/exec _fhd.cfg // 1440x1080 is fine
I tried to manually look for any of those .CFG's mentioned, so i can maby edit them to add my resolution to it. but couldn't find them.
Before i downloaded this mod, i tried it on the GOG version, on that version i managed to get the game to 3840x2160p by editing the unnamedsoldier file,
I was wondering if i do it by the way mentioned above, and by Hex editing to get the FoV correct,
does this conflict with the Excisting br_settings.cfg ???
I Solved it by editing the unamedsoldier file, and hex editing the game86.dll for the FOV, wich so far seems to be working on alot of the different versions of the game.
so sorry that i made such a huge post on your main wall, while i solved it.
For those looking for the hexedit numbers i took them from:
Wsgf.org
Hi, nice!
Other solution to halfy implement widescreen and fov changes would be to add these commands in the "br_settings.cfg"
seta r_customwidth "2560"
seta r_customheight "1400" //set these variables to whatever you want the resolution to be.
seta r_mode "-1"
Afterwards enabling cheats and developer via the SETUP/ cfgs would offer fov changes with commands, however you need to reset it each map as I remember.
