Heat of Battle is an immersive team play oriented gameplay experience. Using a capture and hold objective system similar to that of Day of Defeat and BattleField 1942, HoB puts you into gripping struggles to control areas in an effort to dominate the other team. A great deal of gameplay variance is involved and every map can be an entirely different gameplay style. The HoB Dev Team is community driven and committed to making Heat of Battle the most realistic, customizable, and fun gaming experience to anyone who plays it.

The Heat of Battle development team is pleased to announce Heat of Battle for Call of Duty, version 1.0!
This release represents the culmination of years of effort from dozens of mappers, coders, artists and testers as well as years of amazing support from you, the community.
New features:
-Sprinting
-Integrated admin tools to facilitate tournament play
-New map: Junobeach (by Televinken)
-New map: Maaloy (by Televinken)
-Re-introduced & updated map: Offensive

Fixes:
-Capture code reworked
-Portals added to a number of maps to increase performance
-Several potential server crashes fixed (particularly for Linux servers)
-Player death count at end of round corrected (thanks, Jim!)
-Point penalty for switching teams removed if autobalance would have assigned you to the other team. I.e., you're no longer penalized for balancing the teams.
-Other minor fixes...

There's a good chance we might actally have v0.3 out before anyone else too. Which would just be wierd. We have about 6 little bugs to squash and it's ready to go!

i downloaded heat of battle and its just one new map and an old one thats been changed around a bit. i personally thought there would be more to it.
