D-day is a Would War II total conversion mod for the highly popular game Red Alert 2: Yuri’s Revenge. D-day features thirteen different playable countries equipped with over a thousand new units.

The playable sides are:

  • America
  • Great Britain
  • France
  • Poland
  • China
  • Soviet Union
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Hungary
  • Japan
  • Czechoslovakia
  • Sweden

D-day is also split into different "time frames" giving the player the option to play with a different selection of units from different periods of World War II.

The playable time frames are:

  • Pre-war (1930-1940)
Play with units designed between World War I & World War II as tensions rise and conflict seams inevitable.
  • Early-War (1940-1942)
Play using units from the beginning of World War II as the Axis forces unleash their blitzkrieg tactics upon the world.
  • Mid-War (1942-1944)
Play with units deployed during the middle of World War II as the tired turns against the Axis & the Allies push forward.
  • Late-War (1944-1945)
Play using the best units developed during the war in the final stages of the conflict.
  • Post-War (1945-1960)
Play using units designed after World War II during the early stages of the Cold War. Or play using experimental designs from the end of World War II in a hypothetical scenario where World War II continues to rage on.
  • Total-War (1930-1960)
Play using units from all time frames and more in an epic battle of the ages.

New D-day website

News 6 comments

Yep it's that day of the year again, June 6th! Today marks the 74th anniversary of the Allied amphibious landing in Northern France which led the way for the liberation of Western Europe from German occupation.

Of course today is also the anniversary of the Red Alert 2 mod D-day, which has now been in development for 16 years. To celebrate I have completely redone the D-day website with a new look and features. I plan to continue working on the new site to add more information and content in the coming weeks, which I'll post updates about on D-day's Facebook and Twitter pages.

In addition to the new website I have also created a Discord chat server for D-day. I will be there as much as I can, so feel free to join in and ask me any question you may have about D-day.

Why is there a Sweden in a WW2 themed mod? They didn't even fight in WW2. Or is this alternate history?
I'm honestly just curious!

For those who think this mod is dead, no, the mod is not dead, the development is going at a snail's pace. In the meantime, I made a mod that adds the CnCNet client to D-Day: Ppmforums.com (Mig Eater gave me permission to post my mod in his D-Day websites.)

I have played several different types of C&C Mods over the years. I am constantly astounded by the C&C modding communities. Not only is D-day an amazing WWII mod on it's own, the fact that TwistedModder has continued to work on this amazing project is incredible! D-day is one of my most played mods in my rotations. Please accept my high praise to both teams/individual modders in your continual love and growth for this project! I eagerly look forward to future updates.

It will be finished, it's just that development speed is going at a snail's pace.
