RTW is simply the classic of the strategy genre - not to mention with one of the best ranges of mods out there. Genuinely a fantastic title, and still not showing its age!

For as many years as this game has been out i have played it, this game is a grand mix of diplomatic strategy and a real time battlefield strategy game mixed into the perfectly crafted game called Rome Total War.

Rome Total War is the best historical RTS ever made. That is all that needs to be said. Even with dated graphics this game will rank in the top 5 for both RTS and turn-based empire builders for decades.
