His childish innocence was not meant to last long, oh no: When little Lucius was born on the meaningful date of June 6th, 1966, nobody expected him to be anything other than a normal little boy. His childhood, spent in a luxurious manor, was as normal as every kid’s young years – well, except for the extreme wealth of his parents, as Lucius grew up with everything he desired, including several maids, the family’s own butcher and Lucius’ private teacher.

Everything changed, though, when Lucius turned 6: His real father, the Devil, appeared in his dreams the night before his birthday, revealing that Lucius was his son.

The Beast managed through Lucius to bring a descendant back to the earth – and so it is Lucius’ task now to accomplish the missions of the Evil, which is gaining control over the world. Firstly, Lucius needs to get rid of all his family members and the service staff in the manor to be able to make their wealth and powers his.

Equipped with supernatural powers, Lucius starts off to a blood-flooding tour of horror through his house, using hell’s powers of telekinesis and mind control to orchestrate deadly accidents that will minimize the population of the manor one by one by one...

The Mayhem Bundle

News 16 comments

The Mayhem Bundle, this week's manic Indie Royale collection of games, is worth over $60 and features 6 action-heavy video games from a clutch of independent developers from around the world.

Burn Zombie Burn, Lucius, Plain Sight, Alien Shooter 2 Conscription, Primal Fears and Droplitz are available in this week's bundle.

Burn Zombie Burn

Burn Zombie Burn is a critically acclaimed action game from doublesix games in which the best type of undead is barbequed undead. Your task is to keep protagonist Bruce alive as he attempts to keep his girlfriend Daisy alive, while netting the highest possible score by burning, battering, shooting, maiming, exploding, mincing, and obliterating as many zombies as possible. Described by VideoGamer as having "depth to keep you coming back for weeks, if not months down the line" this is the ideal game for high-score chasers who like their zombies well done.
BONUS: Burn Zombie Burn Original Soundtrack
Burn Zombie Burn is available for Windows via Steam.

Lucius

Lucius is a third person horror adventure inspired by the first movie in the Omen trilogy from Shiver Games. In the game you take control of Lucius as he begins his blood filled tour of horror through his own house, using Hell's powers of telekinesis and mind control to orchestrate deadly accidents that will decimate the population of the Dante Manor. With a strong story and cloying atmosphere to match, Lucius is a frightening game to scare even the hardiest adventurer.
Lucius is available is available for Windows via Steam, Desura and DRM-free.

Plain Sight

Described by PC Format as "one of the most original indie games we've seen in ages" Beatnik Games' Plain Sight is a multiplayer arcade game about suicidal ninja robots. Fly through space, leap over planetoids and destroy opponents with your deadly katana, while chomping on energy to make you bigger, stronger, faster and generally more awesome. Simple, elegant and well-presented, Plain Sight is, in PC Gamer's words, "one of the best times you can have blowing yourself up."
Plain Sight is available for Windows via Steam.

Primal Fears

A top down arcade shooter with survival horror styling, DNS Development's Primal Fears asks players to battle their way through multiple levels, earning upgrades, competing against friends and working to uncover the truth about the pharGONe chemical, which has upturned the world. Use a variety of weapons to stop the mutated population, and save yourself from becoming the next victim.
Primal Fears is available for Windows on Steam.

Alien Shooter 2 Conscription

This update to the cult classic Alien Shooter 2 blends action and RPG game mechanics to create something utterly unique and compelling. With the world in the grip of terrorizing monsters besieging the capital cities, your task is to battle the alien invaders as a private soldier from the regular army. The future of the world hangs in the balance, humanity's freedom rests upon your shoulders.
Alien Shooter 2 Conscription is available for Windows via Steam, Desura and DRM Free.

Droplitz

Blitz Games Studios' Droplitz is a fiercely addictive puzzler in which you must twist and connect mismatched dials to save precious droplitz. But there are hidden depths here to master. Just making a single junction is child's play; can you master the art of the combo? GameDaily hailed the game's "immensely satisfying micro-level gameplay" while IGN warned that the game is likely to "claim several hours of your life before you even notice they're gone."
Droplitz is available for Windows via Steam.

$8 Bundle Bonus
Phonetic Symphony (Remastered) by Chipzel - Chipzel is the alias of Niamh Houston, an independent Northern Irish chip-musician who uses Gameboys to create energetic, melodic dance tracks. Through taking the original 8bit sound and manipulating it into something frantically hard-hitting, Chipzel has seen crowds of all ages turn to "raving loons", taken right back to their days of retro gaming. The newly remastered Phonetic Symphony is one of her most striking records, and the bonus for those who pay $8 or more in their local currency for The Mayhem Bundle.

no you should be blamed
torrenting pirate A-holes like you are what ruins the gaming industry if you cant pay the price it doesnt give you the right to think your entitled to it because your not entitled to it. if someone works hard to make a game then he has the right to charge what he wants i tcould be three or 30 pounds and even if its ridiculously much your not F***ING entitled to it in any way especially not for free

I was curious at first what was this game about when it came out, so I watched some let's plays of it. I know it's inspired by Omen, and that could possibly make a good game. I expected something like Hitman's gameplay combined with horror, but what I found is that it's really cliché (in a bad way), linear and a bit dull. I think the developers didn't know to take this concept seriously or give it a more non serious, B movie approach and what they ended up with is a bit of a mess.

I know tastes differ, but I would recommend anyone planning on buying it in stand-alone form to check it out first on youtube or try the demo if there is any, not to get disappointed by it if it's not something for there preference.
