As a documentary, Sorry/Not Sorry isn’t groundbreaking in terms of form or information, but it does feel important in the larger conversations that Suh and Montes are exploring, as C.K. isn’t the first nor will he be the last celebrity to have the pain they've caused unveiled to the world.

Divided into seven narratively ill-defined parts, Sorry/Not Sorry moves like the first draft of an article that has all its sources, but doesn’t quite have a thesis yet. Rather than contemplating the nuances of C.K.’s rise and fall, it is simply an information piece, adding footnotes to the story we already know.

5 for now because I'm about to watch it. My biggest issue is that Louis CK seems to have been an unnecessary casualty of the MeToo movement. What he did, from my understanding, is the definition of consent. He's a single guy who asked two female comedians, who he was not working with at the time, to watch him jerk-off. That's it. He didn't threaten them. He didn't force them. He asked and they said no. Calling that sexual harassment is belittling those who suffered the real thing (like the victims of Harvey Weinstein) and publicly shaming an innocent man.
