Returning director Chris Renaud, co-director of parts one and two, knows his way around the characters, and he knows what his audience wants: cartoon mayhem, mild naughtiness from the Minions, social awkwardness from Gru.
Despicable Me 4 may not reinvent the wheel (even if it does soup up a wheelchair with monster-truck-sized tyres at one point). What it does deliver is a brisk, fan-friendly romp which may be a little thin on actual plot but is stuffed to the gills with jokes.

The movie's brisk pace keeps the cracks between the various plot threads from showing initially, but upon further inspection, it's clear Despicable Me 4 has so much on its mind, it's forgotten some of what makes the franchise so delightful.
Like undercooked comfort food, the series has lost its taste and appeal. Despicable Me 4 exemplifies what happens when an animated franchise overstays its welcome.
The overstuffed "Despicable Me 4" abandons any pretense of caring about characters or narrative, choosing instead to fit in as many gags, characters, and little stories with as little consequences as they can.
The script by Mike White (who may have been locked in the writer’s room by Illumination Studios after working on the superior Migration) and series co-creator Ken Daurio feels like a stack of B-plots stapled together rather than a full story.
Despicable Me 4 loses focus like a golden retriever in a Petco plushie aisle, splitting characters into bottled subplots that can only be addressed in single-file order.
I watched a few critics reviews and seen bad grades about new movie . I fully don't agree with critics opinions because in my opinion create a few continues of movie is not easiest mission, we have already 4 masterpieces of despicable Me and i think that is big progress ! If you want hear my opinion about the movie, he is good . not so bad how others told. Animations is new, and much more !

The film "Despicable Me 4" fails to inject new life into the franchise and seems somewhat saturated, unless there are significant changes or new ideas to revitalize Gru's universe and make future films **** those familiar with the franchise, "Despicable Me 4" presents all the elements already established in the previous films, but with a predictable narrative, introducing new characters that fail to stand out and a villain that I consider to be the weakest in the franchise. The film has no innovations to differentiate it from the others and, in short, it's just another chapter.Although in many cases being just another movie isn't necessarily a bad thing, in this context we're looking at the fourth Gru movie plus two spin-offs with the Minions, all following the same formula. In "Despicable Me 4", it's clear that the studio has invested more in branding the franchise than in the quality of the film itself. Despite these flaws, the movie still manages to provide moments of fun and laughter, although it doesn't go beyond that.

Bad movie. Maybe if you're a 2year old, it's funny. But the amount of same jokes (some ongoing event, Minions come into the picture and 'funny' happens) is tedious and uninspired. Even when it arrives free on streaming, watch only if you have exhausted all other programs.
