Sea of thieves is one of a kind, a very rare game that will be a sea of joy for some, and a strange and empty game, that lack some of the basics of modern games for others. For me it's a total success, a game that has filled the hours I've spend playing it with plenty of unforgettable moments.
Sea of Thieves is not yet the dream game. But it is the most important release of the first part of 2018, and not only for Xbox. Rare has created a wonderful world at a technical, audiovisual and gameplay level. But theor work is not yet finished, and now it's time to fill it with all the good ideas they've already shown they can deliver.
Just started playing this game about a month ago and I’m straight up addicted. There is SO MUCH to do. PVP is awesome and terrifying when you have a ship full of goodies. Co-op is hilarious and fun AF. I really don’t have a bad word to say about this game. Apparently all the bad reviews are from years ago when the game apparently **** but it’s top notch now you won’t regret it.
Sea of Thieves has glimmers of promise and is gorgeous to look at, but single player play is virtually worthless, and the repetitive nature of the quests and empty world leave the game feeling incomplete and overpriced as of now.
It starts strong and looks stunning throughout, but the missions soon become redundant, while on this stormy seas you’re not only at the mercy of the elements, but the fun you’ll have depends largely on the behaviour of other players. It can be a tremendous pirate adventure with gripping PvP, but can deteriorate to a frustfest, if the other players on the server just want to create chaos.
Rare's piratical playground looks lovely, but you have to make a bit too much of your own fun. The sound and the fury of the waves is lovely, but for Sea of Thieves to be properly good it needs to give the players more to work with.
Perhaps the least forgivable aspect for me, given my love of exploration and discovery in games like these, is that all the islands feel the same. For Sea of Thieves to be a truly unforgettable experience for me I’d have liked to have seen islands and archipelagos that feel lovingly crafted with supreme attention to detail. What we have instead is a map that feels like Rare turned “Generate Game” on once and just ran with what the creator spat out. This, more than anything else, saddens me as it makes things feel even less devoid of life. Islands are too spread out, too samey and too uninteresting leaving the player with a, “seen one, seen them all” feeling.
Great Game, the only reason its a 69 on Metacritcs is because 90% of Bad Reviews are from 2018 where the game had a big lack of Content which Drastically Changed over they years
Tudo pareceu a mesma coisa.
As lorotas são interessantes mas o jogo continua falhando muito em te guiar por elas.
O jogo brilha na jogabilidade de pilotar o **** 3 barcos possuem um gameplay fantástico. A base desse jogo é genial.
Very nice concept, graphics are amazing, smart ai characters BUT I think they missed the whole point ****: making it fun. There is no objective in the game, and if you face opponents older than a five year old (pretty rare) than the whole battle depends on who lands the first shot. Awfully tragic combat mechanics. And that's the best part! Apart from the mid tall tales (with no reward) the game is SOOO BORING likethe first 5 hours is pretty fun but the events are really repetitive. Toxic community, boring and pointless gameplay, it's just simply bad. Also the price is outrageous, I don't understand how can they ask for more than 5€ for this ****
Downloaded this for the Monkey Island DLC, and while it is cool to explore Melee Island in First-Person 3D and the humor is on point (although the puzzles are a little too easy IMO), the actual mechanics of this game are terribly clunky. That goes for movement on foot (why is it so hard to keep sprinting?) as well as on ship (tried to get my ship unstuck because all I needed to do to end the second MI Tall Tale was to sail back through the gate and I could not, for the life of me, get it away from the pier, so I just sunk it and talked to the mermaid) and ESPECIALLY for the terrible quest/item system. It's uncomfortable AF to have to keep pressing down RT to read the quest log and why tf can't every item just go into your inventory? Instead you have these special quest items for some reason that you have to keep holding in your hand while being unable to sprint. What's the f**king point?? Also, WHY, when I'm playing alone and I'm the only one in this level, can't there just be a normal save system?? Instead you have to sail back all the way the next time you boot up the game (which might be sooner than you want to, because you get thrown out if you're inactive too long. I'll re-iterate that this is in a SINGLE-PLAYER SESSION ON A MAP WITH ZERO OTHER PLAYERS) and might have to do a large portion of the quest over if you didn't quit or get thrown out shortly after getting a checkpoint item. It is also very glitchy game in general, I was gettingweird desync/deplacement issues while walking all the time and when I asked the mermaid to take me back to my ship I WAS DROPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FOREST. I mean, this is a game that has been out for what, five years now? You'd think it'd be a little more polished by now. The sword combat that they ham-fistedly shoved into the insult swordfighting is also very, very lackluster and boring.
