Even though it's not as diverse in terms of gameplay, Nobody Wants to Die delivers a rich plot in a fantastic universe full of potential. The investigative adventure in the retrofuturistic New York stands out for its excellent story and interesting characters.
A graphical and atmospheric treat that captivates to the end. However, the gameplay lacks challenge and variety.

Amazing graphics, amazing story and an out of this world atmosphere. The best game of this year for me so far. I recommend it ️

If you are into blade runner or altered carbon you need this game! It’s only $25 from an indie studio and it’s one of the most beautifully realized futuristic noir games ever. The mechanics are fun and a great detective story so far. Unreal 5 looks stunning. Just get it

Nobody Wants to Die is an enticing detective story that takes a weird path in the final stretch.
Nobody Wants To Die was the game I didn't realize I needed to play this year until I played it. A fantastic narrative experience set in one of the most harrowing worlds. Though its gameplay is by the books, it didn't keep me from being thoroughly entertained from start to finish. For those looking for a cyberpunk murder mystery, you don't need to look further than Nobody Wants To Die.
I feel that it is a very decent game and that it should be tried, but it is also not the work that is going to change the industry in the narrative game genre; For that, its development studio still has a way to go. The advantage is that it is not a full-price title, so if you want to venture out and buy it, I would say it is a good idea, especially if you like works that bet almost everything on the story.
Nobody Wants to Die is a narrative adventure featuring a fascinating cyberpunk setting that draws heavily on some rather famous works (Blade Runner, Altered Carbon, and a dash of Ghost in the Shell) to tell an interesting and engaging story built entirely on the two protagonists. The gameplay is limited to crime scene analysis and the developers have not dared to trespass; rather, they infused the investigative mechanics with contextual hints that make the experience quite guided, but no less enjoyable.
Critical Hit Games' debut title is a graphic adventure capable of building a fascinating setting, certainly indebted to the imagery linked to the cornerstones of the genre, but with a unique personality thanks to the aesthetic and musical references to the United States of the 1990s 40. Nobody Wants to Die reduces the possibilities of its gameplay to the bare minimum, forcing the player to simply reach for the different indicators on the screen, to focus everything on a story that unfortunately does not develop in an orderly manner. A verbose exposition tends to dampen interest in a setting that would have worked better by leaving something to the imagination, while the plot finds complete meaning only through one of the four available endings, while the other three fail to fill several gaps in a slightly confusing script.

Not much to do aside from walk around and click things. only 3 or 4 choices actually affect the ending you get and some of the events seems pretty scrambled. But it looks and sounds very nice.

Ending made no sense. Spoiler Warning!!!
Who really killed Green? Because we see him get beat up and hanged by someone in Recreation but then we learn that he had to have killed himself so who was it that really killed him?? If the main character is having a psychotic breakdown why does the evidence still point to a third party being involved. Even Sarah acknowledge this multiple times with evidence like Green being beaten by someone unknown. This game has many plotholes and lazy puzzles. I did like the style of the game and the dialogue even tho it was cringe at times. But all my effort felt thrown away by the bad endings. Thank you for reading
