Fans of frantic action and beat 'em up style fighting will be overawed by how intense Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is.
This is what Ninja Gaiden 3 should have been when it was first released. Tecmo and Team Ninja have listened to their fans and offered a great game, but it's still far from perfect. If you're going to play the game, make sure you play this version.

Team Ninja has tried to minimize the flaws of Ninja Gaiden 3 with a much better porting on the Wii U, though the structural limits of the original game have remained almost intact.
Razor's Edge is a better game than the original Ninja Gaiden 3 and a worthy option for Wii U users.
At the end of the day if you are a fan of the Ninja Gaiden franchise and were let down with Ninja Gaiden 3 on Xbox 360 or PS3, give Team Ninja another chance, especially if you are looking for a fairly enjoyable action oriented launch title for your new Wii U.
Razor's Edge has its moments, but they are so few and always the same way that never impresses and exceeds the level of mere satisfaction.
Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edge still remains the weakest title in the Ninja Gaiden trilogy, but additions like the Ayane missions and balancing tweaks make the game a decent, gloriously gory action title...The weak story, repeat enemies, and frame-rate issues still hold the bloody title back from the greatness of its prestigious pedigree.
Fun game to play, i just wish there were more weapons and upgrades available, UT's could be a bit better.. and oh how i miss the flails and tonfa's. But at least rocket spamming nubs are easy to take out and less of them which is a definite improvement. Now they just need to release a Ninja gaiden ultimate for all consoles and PC with all NG's, weapons, ninpos, characters and extras.... >_>

Great game. Difficulty is actually quite high. I didn't expect the bosses to be quite so... daunting. lol
Having not played a NG game since the NES days, I went into this not knowing what to expect, and kinda cautious about what had happened to the series over the decades. I was not disappointed, in fact, I'd say I'm impressed. Visually, it's a very pretty game. Ayane, and Ryu and co all look very good. The voice overs are great, and overall, it's a wonderful game.
So far, I've played only the campaign, but it's great. Worth a try? Definitely.

Certainly an improvement over the previous versions, however the game is not without its fair share of flaws. Like most games in the series, Razor's Edge is very challenging, and the improved AI certainly adds to this with intense combat situations that will punish you severely for even the slightest error. However, several points in the game seem to derive their challenge more from poor design choices and cheap tricks rather than genuine difficulty. However, despite these short comings, NG3 RE is a good choice for people looking for a challenging game on the WiiU or any system on the current market.

Not quite the return to form I would hope to see, but a staggering improvement nonetheless. Combat is fast, tense, and unforgiving. You're provided with a wide variety of weapons and abilities to spice up the experience, and the constant slew of new and ever more threatening enemies keeps you on your toes. Boss fights were a bit of a mixed bag, but the ones that I enjoyed were quite thrilling. The amount of content in the game leaves little room for disappointment. The only issues I have with the game are that the camera can at times be somewhat uncooperative, and the designs of the levels are a bit too straight-forward.

The story and characters in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge are entertaining in a Sy-Fy movie way and the gameplay is fast paced, fluid, and fun. Unbalanced difficulty options drag down what is otherwise a rather enjoyable experience - you are either an unstoppable immortal or a helpless, fragile wimp.
