Is Apple finally taking Mac gaming to the next level? As macOS gaming continues to slowly grow since the release of Apple Silicon Macs, the same obstacle remains. The lack of developer support. But Apple may have found a solution to that perennial problem.
Apple just released a developer tool called Game Porting Kit that magically allows Windows games, including those that use DirectX12, to run on macOS. While Game Porting Kit is meant to be used by developers, the Mac gaming community has been frantically testing several Windows games on macOS with impressive results. This list covers the most surprising games tested and validated on macOS so far.

What is Apple’s Game Porting Toolkit
The Game Porting Toolkit is a translation layer based on Wine and CrossOver that allows Windows games that require DirectX 12 to run on macOS. This tool leverages both Apple’s D3DMetal and the many years of CrossOver development to bring unprecedented Windows gaming performance and support on Mac.
The Game Porting Toolkit was revealed during Apple’s 2023 WWDC conference and made available on June 6, 2023.

Age of Empires IV does NOT work using the Game Porting Toolkit, as that game requires AVX support. You’ve confused it with Age of Wonders 4. The “source” link takes you to a video referring to Age of Wonders 4, not Age of Empires IV.

Outer wilds works ok. It crashes from time to time but overall very playble.
Anyone tried Warhammer Darktide?
I tried Mega Man 11 on Macbook M1 air, works excellent, no issues, steady 60 fps.

1. Steelrising – Black screen only and nothing happens
2. In the Raven Shadow – Ve stínu Havrana – Black screen, audio only
3. Scrapland – Can be started but not playable
4. Cybernetic fault – Falls immediately at start
5. The Witcher – Theoretically could be played but artefacts in picture
6. The Witcher 2 – Falls immediately at start
7. Ion Fury – Abnormal program termination and back to desktop, one additional comment: It uses eduke32 engine, the game could be played with use of eduke32 for Mac.
8. Gods Remastered – Only menu, game falls
Working games:
1. Blood – Fresh Supply

3. Atomic Heart – sometimes artefacts but still playable
