We've now switched to a new key system. (For those who downloaded the game in the last few months, you'll need to use your original key for this download, NOT the new ones generated by our previous key system).


*Unfortunately, due to the increase in update sizes we are no longer able to use our previous update software which was used with earlier versions of Kenshi. As far as we've found so far, an alternative software that can manage our latest updates doesn't exist.

The main significant stable updates will be provided here as a torrent file for non-Steam users.

This download will run as a demo version until you enter your keycode in the launcher.

NOTE:
Due to technical problems, the latest version is just a zip rather than an installer. If you have trouble running the game, make sure you install the stuff in the /kenshi/dependencies/ folder (DXSETUP.exe and vcredist_x64.exe)

To download Kenshi, first you'll need to install a torrent client such as uTorrent. Next, download the below file and open it with your torrent client.

Hi, I have the same problem as Faia, the official demo on this webiste seems to not be working. However I have seen demos on other websites but they may not have the most up-to-date one.

When do non-Steam users get the latest stable version?

It really annoys me that I paid money for this game, but I can't play it because the developers got it on Steam and promptly forgot they had other users.

Come on guys. Sort out the non steam version please. My wife bought this game for me when it first came out. Once I had activated it she deleted the E-Mail from her pc. She has several different E-mail addresses and is not sure which one the activation code got sent to. I don't have steam so I can't get the updates.


Any chance I can play please?

Apologies for the inconvenience, jibster and milo christiansen. Unfortunately, due to the increase in Kenshi's update sizes we are no longer able to use our previous update software which was used with earlier versions, hence the difficulty in providing latest releases. As far as we've found so far, an alternative software that can manage our latest updates doesn't exist. Hence we are unable to release as frequently as via GOG and Steam Experimental.

After the next update we'll be doing a non-Steam stable release with an installer, 0.93.25. We'll release it on experimental for 1 day just to make sure its fine first.

Update: Chris is currently working on the non-steam torrent release but it will take a week or so due to the old keycode system being discontinued.

Hi,i just found this game a few days ago,and i'm amazed how awesome it is.

This is why it pains me so much that the torrent doesn't work "kenshi_0.93.28.zip.torrent" i mean, it works,but there is no downloading speed or "trackers".Please do something about it i wish to try this new version so much.

I'm not an expert with how torrents work, but I think its because its still in the initital seeding stages. I was thinking the torrent was broken somehow but it's got a downloader now, so it should get better over the next few days.

Okay,this might sound silly,but i downloaded utorrent(i'm using bitcoment for years now) and it downloads with a decent speed,so if anyone uses something else,give utorrent a try,it might solve the problem .

The torrent doesn't have any trackers and seems to be relying entirely on peer discovery, thats probably why its having issues. Here's a magnet link with some public trackers for the 0.93.28 torrent, right after setting this up i noticed a few peers are already on them. I'll be seeding so if you use this link you'll be able to get one reliable download at least. (this is the same torrent as in the OP, just with trackers added, they're cross compatible and will dl from eachother)

basically just add a few public trackers when making the torrent next time, there's tons of public ones that are usable by anyone with something who wants to upload something, most big companies have their own trackers but small indies usually just use whatever exists.
