Amazon #Aurora is Amazon Web Services (AWS)’ own #Cloud relational #database development that comes in many flavours (#PostGreSQL, #MySQL, #Serverless, Global Database, …). How does it compare to an outside contender that’s also supported on all major #publiccloud platforms? Good introduction by Cockroach Labs on how their distributed transactional (#opensource) database #CockroachDB compares to #Aurora in several predetermined architectural categories (not so much on workload criteria).
