To change your life, first you need to change your paradigm around it. The only way through which you can change anything is to try applying different perspectives around it, this is because we usually see things as we are rather than how they are. There are several ways through which you can change your paradigm and one them is to recognize the power of what you see/hear in relation to what you do and what you get. Then choose wisely what you see and what you do so as to change what you get. Paradigm shift about disability and disability inclusion is very vital for the success of the full participation of persons with disabilities in development processes. Disability services and supports are about enabling people’s human rights. If you work with people with disabilities human rights should be fundamental and foundational to your practice. Elevating Human Rights-based Approaches involves investing time to better understand what is meant by human-centred practice and human rights-based approaches and how you can embed them, consciously and intentionally in what you do.
