Interactive, story, characters... These three words still bring me back to my initial passion. They are the reason I chose the gaming industry in 1999 - the ability to control characters I created with my own hands... Looking back, it seems like I've grown alongside the evolution of graphic technology, vigtously facing challenges head-on. Before the year 2023 comes to a close, I will unveil the results created together with my team this year. With less than 10,000 topology, 60 blend shapes, simplified rig control, and other optimized data, we were able to achieve high-quality modeling and facial animations. This R&D project is fully compatible with the MetaHuman League, and we successfully completed and shared it across the company. From casting actors to 3D scanning and completing animations, all of this was accomplished within a 5-month schedule with a team of 4-5 people. This was possible due to the accumulated experience and knowledge I gained over 20+ years. And collaborated with the brilluant R&D team and the SDS Spain team's top-notch rendering technology and exellent support. The Visual R&D team's challenge was to go from Good to Great, and above all, prove the ability to achieve high-quality results with optimized data. I want to express my gratitude to all who had worked this project done successfully. Now that we've laid the foundation, shall we create lip-sync and facial animation auto-generated by text?
Really great work for gaming. He would be a good fit for so many. Sadly the metahumans are not a fit for apparel productions that exist in reality end points. But he is a good example of strong topo images.

7moHow many texture samplers used in his shader? Since 10k tris can't define facial features well, you have to make a lot of wrinkle maps and blend them. It's not using tesselation, right?
