𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝟳𝟯𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘇𝗹𝗮𝗯𝘀!! From the very beginning, I always wanted to join a startup to feel the express culture and experience the growth of the company. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀. Never thought of coming this far, even in my college days I used to think about quitting the internship, kudos to our attendance criteria and standardised education system (sarcasm). My advice to all the students would be: 1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. This is the real experience. 2. If you have skills, you can join MAANG at any stage of your life, but I strongly endorse joining a startup, the 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘇𝘆. 3. Sticking to a company for a longer duration opens n new opportunities, 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗧 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. 4. Mil jaegi job, itni tension mat lo !!! P.S. It’s been a year since I completed my Amazon internship.❤️ My experience was truly unmatched—I was amazed to have had the chance to… - Work on frontend and backend development, operational excellence, AWS setup, and testing—all in one role. - Learn a lot about AWS services like Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, CodeBuild, and CodePipeline. I also improved my unit testing skills for backend and UI, and explored Python and Java. - Apply Amazon’s leadership principles by focusing on customer needs in my projects. There were challenges too—like when I had to build a React tool for the first time. 🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 I am thrilled to announce the completion of my Summer Internship at FoodioTech! 🌟 It has been an incredible journey filled with learning, growth, and unforgettable experiences in the fascinating world of food technology. During my time at Foodiotech, I had the privilege of working with a dynamic team of professionals who were incredibly supportive and inspiring. I am grateful for the opportunity they provided me to contribute to work on cutting-edge stacks, Flutter , Firebase, Kotlin, Rest APIs, BLoC, Provider and make a real impact in the food industry. ✅ I accomplished various significant tasks. Firstly, I created a professional bill generating system for food orders using a mobile app built with Flutter, ensuring compatibility across devices. Additionally, I seamlessly integrated thermal printers with the app, enabling restaurants to print bills directly, streamlining their billing process. I also played a crucial role in backend optimization, reducing latency by an impressive 60-70% by creating streams.I worked on frontend dev, creating an attractive and user-friendly UI for the mobile application. I focused on designing intuitive interfaces that enhanced the user experience, making it visually appealing and easy to navigate.Moreover, I designed and developed the Pay later feature, allowing customers to defer payments for their orders.I integrated payment gateway and url shorter by creating sub-domain and redirecting requesting to the created domain. 📈Changed whole codebase to MVC architecture and used BLoC for handling state changes, testing, reusability and to separate whole business logic from presentation. 🚀 Lastly deployed the application on Playstore and understood the whole pipeline of deployment from development to production. 🤝 I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Prithvi Sai , Akashjyoti Das for your mentorship, Industry insights, importance of communication skill and encouragement throughout this journey. I would also thank my co-interns Kashvi Garg and Navaneeth K U ,had a great time working with you too. As 2023 comes to an end, the cycle of planning for the next year begins. Planning places to travel, that sport/physical activity to begin, and for some people planning our professional career. Planning is not an easy task, the search for the perfect plan creates significant barriers and limits new possibilities around us. A challenge to find a balance between our focus, what inspires us, and what we truly can do. This week I got some amazing news that is part of my plan for 2024. 1) I received approval for my first talk in 2024 at the Online Summit for Java Dev'24 organized by Geekle.us . During this talk, I will demystify the Circuit Breaker Pattern using JakartaEE + MicroProfile + OpenLiberty. It will take place on January 16th-17th, 2024. 2) Since the beginning of the year, I've been 'nudging' the technology team at iFood to come back to be present and contribute to universities, conferences, and technology communities in Brazil. And YES! We got approval for one project! Kudos to Rafael Ireno for the trust and openness to this project! 3) We will launch a new internship program at iFood in 2024! At the beginning of this year, I proposed an internship program in the technology and people areas, focusing on providing an immersive experience in both culture and technology. With the success and results from the first edition, we received approval to launch a new one in 2024! Kudos to Marília Leocádio for all the support! How about you?
