🎮 Here are the most important information about gamers in Germany! ℹ🔍 🕹 For the first time ever, the average age of video game players in Germany has exceeded 38 years 🕹 Ten years ago, the average age was just 33.6 years 🕹 48% of gamers are female 🕹 More than three quarters of all gamers are over the age of 18 The average age of gamers in Germany is rising. This trend is largely driven by the increasing number of older players, particularly those aged 60 and above. The past year alone has seen an additional 300,000 gamers in this age group, bringing the total to 6.4 million. One key factor in this shift is the loyalty of those who started gaming in the 1980s and 1990s and have continued to play as they age. Today, around three-quarters (78%) of gamers in Germany are over 18, with women making up 48% of the gaming population. ‘Although the average age of players has been growing for years, the trend still comes as a surprise to many people. The idea of games as a medium for children and young people is a difficult one to shake off. Although this demographic continues to be an important part of the gaming landscape, only a fifth of gamers in Germany are under 18.’, says Felix Falk, Managing Director of game. #gamesindustry #gamingindustry #Demographics The market data is based on statistics compiled by Consumer Panel Services GfK & data.ai (by Sensor Tower).
