Games are universal connectors. They don't just entertain; they bridge cultures and hearts. A notable example? "The Binding of Isaac." 51% of its Kickstarter audience hailed from international regions, and after we localized it into 12 languages, that global engagement grew even more. The power of speaking a community's language is undeniable. Brands, remember: While your core story remains unchanged, it's the local nuances that make it relatable. As we've done with our games, it's about celebrating both the universal and the local narratives. This October 5th-8th, our journey continues at the Essen Game Fair. We're gearing up to further enhance our international engagement and create localized experiences that resonate. 🌐↔️🏡 To all the global brand navigators out there, how do you balance universality with locality? Drop your insights below! ⤵️ And if you're at Essen, let's connect! #SPEIL2023 #BoardGames #TableTopGames #GamesIndustry #MaestroMedia

Gamescom Day 1 - Quick Impressions What blows my mind is the warmth that I felt at the event. Everyone is super charged up, yet in harmony. And this cuts across ages, nationality and time of the day. Today was the beginning of many friendships that I shall cherish. Curiosity, Openness, Respect and Energy were CORE elements for today. Curiosity - Genuinely, there was interest in mutual stories. There was very sophisticated probing about details. Openness - Pain Points were openly discussed, regional peculiarities and learnings were appreciated. Respect - There are established players, there are challengers and there are disruptors in these humongous crowds. There is respect for each life stage, viewpoint and perspective. Energy - After 12+ such meetings a day, plus all the other bantering, there is still more left for evening get togethers followed by revelry. With a promise that tomorrow there will be MORE of CORE! Bring it on, I say! #gamescom2023 #curiosity #openness #respect #energy Dmitriy Byshonkov Justin Berenbaum Shurick Agapitov Mihkel Tiit 🔜 Gamescom 🎮

CEO @ Player One Consulting | Games industry expert advisor in strategy, operations & marketing | Former Xbox & Accenture | Leading teams of experienced consultants to drive your growth & resolve your business issues |
In the games business it is sometimes all too easy to become inwardly focused...we are after all, an exciting, evolving industry with highs & lows aplenty... To do that to the exclusion of all else however is foolhardy. There is a whole world of innovation out there, particularly the broader world of "tech". Whether we take inspiration from new business models or utilise emerging technologies, there is value in looking further afield. Equally....there are major misconceptions about gaming from the tech industry leaders I speak to. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing, and not getting the right advice can lead to spurious conclusions & expensive failures (Google Stadia anyone?) Lets be clear GAMING IS NOT A SUBSET OF TECH It is a highly *creative* endeavour, with a clear focus on *fun* for the consumer This means both the makers & consumers of the product have a very different mindset those who'd build a more general tech-based business. The issues are not insurmountable though...tech and gaming may not be siblings, but they are cousins. With the right advice on market dynamics, opportunity identification and strategic execution, tech companies CAN win in the gaming world. They just need the right guide. I'll be at London Tech week.
🚀 We are going to London Tech Week! This is a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with the wider tech industry and connect with innovative companies. Our mission is to help businesses understand the unique opportunities and challenges in the world of video games. From cutting-edge technologies to emerging trends, we're excited to share our insights and collaborate on future projects. If you're attending London Tech Week, let's connect! Together, we can explore how the video game industry can shape the future of tech. See you there! 🎮 🤝 #LondonTechWeek #VideoGames #GameIndustryExperts #PlayerOneConsulting
