Contra Costa Electric, Inc. (CCE), an EMCOR company, helped sponsor Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa's annual "Drive Out Hunger Event," Golf Tournament. Proceeds will help support the nonprofit's commitment to provide 4,000 hot meals per day to individuals across Contra Costa County, CA. CCE's own Kyle Church and Leo Cid participated, alongside their guests Chris Jones and Richard Fischer from PBF Energy. Loaves and Fishes volunteers serve over 251,000 meals and distribute over two hundred tons of groceries each fiscal year. Hot meals are delivered each day to five Contra Costa cities: Antioch, Oakley, Pittsburg, Martinez, and Walnut Creek. Rural counties, like the ones that comprise most of our 16-county service area in Southeast Missouri have some of the highest rates of food insecurity across the country. Rural communities make up 63% of all U.S counties, but 87% of counties with the highest food insecurity rates. But working together, we can all join together to end hunger. Every action ― big or small ― is one step closer to an America where no one is hungry. This September, during #HungerActionMonth, join the movement to end hunger by volunteering, donating or advocating: https://buff.ly/2TEjNsT
