Transactional solidarity is not enough. This country, as a democracy, really cannot expect to continue to be proud on the world stage, competitive in the global economy, or have a democracy that it can put forward as working in a multiracial society, if we don't invest in the people who are the future. We need transformative solidarity to bring us to a thriving multiracial democracy. https://lnkd.in/gjFchT3d

J-Mark has explored some interesting constitutional issues and today he takes a serious look at the balence of power in the US. The Invisible Pillar: Why America Desperately Needs an Anonymous Third House America stands at a precipice, teetering between the grand vision of its founding fathers and the chaotic brinkmanship of modern politics. This nation, conceived in the crucible of debate and compromise, now finds its legislative process mired in a quagmire of division and stagnation. The bicameral system, a beacon of balance and representation, was designed to prevent the concentration of power and to ensure a diverse tapestry of voices could influence the governing of a vast, evolving landscape. Yet, as the sands of the political arena shift, this system increasingly serves as a battleground for partisan warfare rather than a forum for constructive dialogue.....read more below https://wix.to/eEpeykx

Federal CXO whisperer, focused on being a force for good by enabling agencies in their quest to find truth in a digital world.
Juneteenth stands as a testament to the ongoing evolution of the United States toward the ideals enshrined in the Constitution's preamble. The document's opening phrase, "We the People," acknowledges the ongoing process of building a more perfect union. Juneteenth celebrates the significant progress made with the abolition of slavery, but also serves as a powerful reminder that the pursuit of liberty and justice for all remains unfinished business. On this day, we recommit ourselves to the ideals of freedom, equality, and justice. We can all be a #forceforgood by actively working towards a more perfect union, where the promise of liberty and justice truly extends to all.

Integrity, character, & virtue matter. 2. Every person has dignity, quality, and worth. 3. Truth, honesty, rationality, and facts are non-negotiable. 4. The Constitution and the rule of law are paramount. 5. Our government is a limited one with enumerated powers. 6. Congress writes laws, the executive executes laws, and the courts interpret laws. 7. Government closest to the people is most accountable. 8. People reach their full potential when they are free. 9. Free and functioning markets deliver prosperity. 10. Equality of opportunity, not equality of outcomes. 11. Government must responsibly steward resources for the next generation. 12. Civic associations, faith communities, and families should be the primary engines of our culture - not the state. 13. Strong families are the building blocks of society. 14. Sovereignty is critical to self-government. 15. America's role in the world is unique and important. #ksleg #PrinciplesFirst

Award-winning DEI Executive | Thought Leader | Fostering innovation, productivity, and tapping into un-explored opportunities | All views and opinions expressed in my posts are my own and no one else's.
We are an ailing society. In a move that reeks of political maneuvering and pandering to anti-woke sentiments, the The University of Texas at Austin has recently decided to terminate its remaining Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) staff. They cite compliance with Senate Bill 17, which is Texas legislation that aims to restrict discussions of race and gender in classrooms. This decision is not just an attack on academic freedom; it's a glaring example of how anti-democratic forces are inflicting tangible harm on individuals across the spectrum. Let’s call it what it is: an assault on progress. SB 17, with its vague and oppressive language, claims to protect "intellectual freedom and diversity of thought." Yet, in reality, it stifles critical dialogue and perpetuates systems of oppression. By targeting DEI initiatives, it undermines efforts to create inclusive spaces where marginalized voices can be heard and valued. It’s a legislative straitjacket, intended to silence those who dare to challenge the status quo. But make no mistake, this is not just about Texas. It's a microcosm of a larger, nationwide trend—a wave of anti-woke fervor that seeks to erase the hard-won gains of the civil rights movement and entrench privilege at the expense of justice. It's time to push back hard. It's time to demonstrate, protest, and demand change. We cannot allow our universities, supposed bastions of knowledge and progress, to bend the knee to the forces of ignorance and bigotry. We cannot stand idly by as lawmakers strip away our rights in the name of "freedom." The firing of DEI staff at the University of Texas is a wake-up call—a call to action. It's time to reclaim our universities as spaces of learning, exploration, and empowerment. It's time to reject the false dichotomy of "intellectual freedom" versus social justice and recognize that true progress requires both. So, to the students, faculty, and activists who refuse to be silenced: Let your voices be heard. Stand up against injustice. Fight for a future where diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just buzzwords but guiding principles. The University of Texas may have fired its DEI staff, but they cannot extinguish the flame of progress. It's time to reignite that flame and forge ahead, together.
