The EU Work Plan maintains #sustainability as a key priority in sport and, although sometimes it can seem challenging to implement sustainable measures, especially in major events, there are easy steps that can be taken. Draw inspiration from #Paris2024 and what the International Olympic Committee – IOC is doing: → setting a carbon budget; → using existing facilities; → renting & sharing equipment; → privileging renewable energies; → opting for local partnerships and products; → enabling active mobility options; → involving the community.

Well sort of... 1. 30 years after FIFA '94 was released for SNES and SEGA Megadrive, the licensing deal between EA and FIFA is coming to an end. Not to worry, EA struck deals with major domestic leagues and the UEFA Champions League to keep actual players and stadiums in EA FC '24. EA added 2 more women's leagues with Frauen-Bundesliga and Liga F. 2. While the drama of licensing deals between global brands is interesting, the new technology looks impressive! FC '24 will use 1.3 billion frames of data from 180+ actual games paired with AI and ML to capture more life-like gameplay. For reference, the previous version used capture suits from a match between Spanish 3rd & 4th division teams which captured 8.75 million frames. That's a massive leap in just a couple years time!
